Liked: The guy with the canadian accent (i think his name was johnny?) is the only asset to this hostel, nice guy, and his dog Max is really cute.

Disliked: female staff member was rude and judgemental on check in, she didnt tell us any of the things we wanted to know about Dubrovnik just shamelessly plugged restaurants we didnt want to go to, the price is extreme even for off season, my sheets had giant holes in them and a suspcious stain on the pillow, the bathroom was clearly not clean, the 'kitchen' is nothing more than a poratble one burner electric hotplate and a microwave, and the 'bar' advertised is just beers sold from a fridge behind reception. I was suposed to stay a few nights but checked out the next morning and moved to one of the much nicer and cheaper hostels outside the city walls.

Liked: Great place to crash or immediately make friends. Its lounge got a real laidback vibe, with tasty (cof, cof) cherry syrup and biscuits, but most importantly: the staff is just awesome. Fraser and the girls treat us as if we're invited to their house, so everyone gets along with loads of fun. Learned a lot for life, like playing bullshit, and spoons. Only hard thing is to feel like leaving friends after a couple of days...

Disliked: It's not necessarily cheap for balcan standards, but hey, this is Dubrovnik, and inside the walls? You do have to climb some ladders though. Breakfast is nice, but could be better.

Liked: During the summer it gets really hot in the rooms. Only one fan for 4 people. Lots of steps to get to the hostel, but if you travel only with a backpack you will be fine. But it is nice to be close to the walls of Dubrovnik. Recommend it!

Disliked: The lockers are not safe at all. Make the reservation at the site already in their money, because they don't accept euro so they make the conversion when you do the check in and it is quite confusing.

Liked: location, location, location! Where else are you going to find a hostel inside the city walls? Not only that but the staff was super helpful and friendly nomatter if it was suggestions for places to eat or how to cheaply get to lockum. They really knew their stuff and were happy to share. Free breakfast, Internet linens and towels what more could you ask for?. This place is a hidden jem. I will be staying there the next time I'm in Dubrovnik and I highly suggest you do to. You won't be dissapointed.

Disliked: That I had to leave! I wish I could have stayed longer. The only other thing was that the quiet time at 10pm wasn't really enforced at all so there was some loud partying going on until the wee hours but it is a hostel so if a little bit of noise bothers you don't forget to bring your ear plugs or don't stay in any hostel

Liked: good location in the old city

Disliked: the female receptionist was very friendly but neither staff had no idea about buses to bosnia or montenegro & didn't offer to find out hostel only opens at 8am so it wasnt possible to even make a cup of instant coffee before catching the bus to Bosnia (in the end i found out that it left at 8am)

Liked: The staff at this hostel were incredibly accommodating and willing to assist you with any inquires, questions or concerns you had. Initially when I entered the hostel I did not see what people were raving about. The facilities are okay, but nothing spectacular. However, when you factor in the amazing service, the quite location and amazing breakfast; it all starts to make sense. I wanted to stay an extra night, but they were fully booked. I understand why now.

Disliked: The location is up the hill and if you have a lot of luggage it will be a pain to carry your things up those stairs.

Liked: really great hostel- i felt like every time i asked for something it happened to be right there! (bus timetables, info on anything, book swap, magaziones, freshly made coffee etc) really really helpful staff and very nice clean hostel very airy and well fresh. highly recommend.

Disliked: not fun getting up all those stairs to the the hostel with my suitcase

Liked: Good location, really is in the Old Town Staff were very very helpful and really lovely

Disliked: Up a lot of stairs Not enough lockers in the rooms for each person If you are leaving early in the morning, make sure you tell them because to get your key deposit back the night before you leave

Liked: It was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful

Disliked: When I stayed it was hot weather and there was only a small fan in the room, I ended up leaving early to other accommodation because it was too hot. They also ad plastic bed covers on the bed which made a noise every time someone turned over and made it hotter as well! Although the idea if staying in the old town sounded good, the amount of stairs to the hostel an in the hostel were more than I had expected

Liked: We stayed in a double room in an old house in town, with shared bath room. It was a nice stay to have the old-town-feeling. We had breakfast in the hostel with the other hostel people. The woman in the house was very friendly and the staff at the hostel gave good tips and was also very friendly.

Disliked: nothing dislike

Liked: A really friendly atmosphere, prime location in Dubrovnik Old Town and Maria's friendliness made Fresh sheets the perfect location for us. Despite being fully booked on our second day in Dubrovnik, she offered to help us find accommodation somewhere else in the old town and offered we could still have the breakfast with them.

Disliked: Nothing to dislike about it.

Liked: Can't fault the location - right in the old city, though not the easiest of places to find. All the staff were super friendly and helpful too.

Disliked: Dorms were very hot - no air conditioning, just 1 fan per room. Kitchen and common area were both very small and have restricted opening hours (8am to 10pm).

Liked: Fresh Sheets is ideally located in the Old Town, just a short walk from all the main attractions in Dubrovnik. The staff were friendly and sociable as were the other guests staying there, in particular, the curry night (just 50Kn all you can eat!) was a great idea and good for meeting people. The hostel itself was kept clean and tidy, and the dorms were comfortable and spacious.

Disliked: The kitchen could have been better equipped, with just a microwave and one electric heating panel.

Liked: Lovely staff and very friendly atmosphere, a little on the warm side with no aircon, but it was a very warm week in dubrovnik. location is good in old town, can be better if one didn't have to go to the top of the stairs, but then again one is closer to the cool cliff bars - overall a highly recommended hostel
