Liked: Cosy. Located not to far from the Port (useful for ferry trips) and a large supermarket. Quiet location. Host Zeljka was extremely helpful with transport, restaurants and sightseeing advice and also picked me up from the bus station.

Disliked: Not too close to the Old Town but very frequent bus service so was not a problem for myself.

Liked: Extremely friendly and helpful owner who will answer any questions and help make your stay special… she really makes you feel at home!!

Disliked: Not really walking distance to the old town but not a problem at all.

Liked: The hostess was extremely helpful, she picked us up from the station and upon arrival gave us refreshments and gave us great advice on what to do whilst we were there. Although it was quite far from the old town it was very easy to get there using the local public transport. The property itself provides amazing views across Dubrovnik port.

Disliked: The only problem is that late at night it is necessary to get a taxi as it is a very long walk.

Liked: Price is very reasonable in.comparison of facility provided. The service of pick-up is approaching.

Disliked: it is by main road with too much noisy to sleep even in midnight.

Liked: Lovely hosts. They made me feel so welcome, it was like being a member of their family. I had the small single room - perfectly adequate - and the use of the lounge, dining rooms and kitchen. Beautiful views from the terrace and coffee and juice always offered on return from an outing. Also kitchen was stocked with plenty of food to make breakfast. An excellent choice.

Disliked: Nothing. I was very happy here.

Liked: the lady who runs this guest house is amazingly helpful and nice. she gives you a good great idea of whats to offer about dubrovnik, offers to pick you upand drop you off in port or the bus station on arrival and departure, and is very helpful regarding bus schedules too. an amazing lady. had a great stay

Disliked: a little out of town. but the amazing view and zjelkas helpfulness make up for it.

Liked: Zeljka the owner met us at the main bus station and we immediately felt looked after. She sat us down as soon as we got to the guesthouse and explained how to get around, and recommended some day trips for us. She was extremely knowledgeable about the region. We had a double room with an incredible view, plus the use of a kitchen which meant we could cook for ourselves after a long day trip. If you wanted to do everything on the cheap it would be very easy to do so here, since the rate for the room was also very reasonable. The location of the guesthouse was further out from the Old Town, but on a main bus route that Zeljka explained to us very thoroughly, and we had absolutely no problems with getting around. It was actually really nice to get away from the crowds. We couldn't recommend Ivo Guesthouse highly enough.

Disliked: That we couldn't stay for longer!

Disliked: The car parking is a nightmare as it is on a narrow and busy road and very small space to park, but its o.k really just wave down the traffic while you park.

Liked: The owner of the guesthouse was very friendly, she came to look for us at the port and brought us to the bus station the day after. Room was very good with a great view on the gulf. Everything was super ok.

Liked: I loved the woman that ran the guesthouse, she gave us rides and helped us out with finding our way to the city. There was a large living room with a TV and also a breakfast room with a giant window. The internet worked well and the view from the balcony was amazing!

Disliked: It was very far from the old city center of dubrovnik. The bus stop was very close and the bus was efficient, but it added 24 kuna at least to every day that we stayed there. We walked back once and it was FAR and there were so many stairs!!! It was a nice workout though.

Liked: Zeljka made our stay in Dubrovnik - will definitely be visiting here again. We were collected at the train station, given coffee, biscuits and juice on arrival and given a lovely room. Zeljka goes above and beyond a normal host, providing bus tickets (to save you money on the way into town) and amazing recommendations! She also found us alternative accommodation when we wanted to stay an extra night and then offered use of her kitchen (as our new place did not have one). Amazing host!

Disliked: Nothing to dislike - that we couldn't stay longer.

Liked: Our hostess was so helpful and made our stay in Dubrovnik perfect. She met us at the bus station in her car and gave us lifts twice as well as providing a very thorough introduction with maps, bus timetable and recommendations for good value places to eat and things to see. She gave us drinks on arrival and fresh figs and melon one evening. Although the guesthouse is at the top of a lot of steps the view over the bay is beautiful and sitting on the terrace at mealtimes was wonderful. The bathroom, kitchen and bedrooms were well equipped and very clean, cereal, milk, toast, jam and tea and coffee were provided free. Our room had a lovely balcony, double glazed windows and air conditioning. All this for 15 pounds a night was amazingly good value.

Liked: The view was absolutely amazing and the guesthouse was comfortable and perfect for the five of us. We felt perfectly at home there.

Liked: The house is located in a hill near the sea and the bus station. Everything is very clean. The room is ok and has an amazing view from the bed or balcony, from which you can see the port and part of the city. Lovely host, she picked us up from the bus station, she told us what to see, and the last day she drove us to the station again because we had to wait some time until the next bus. Price is not very expensive in comparison to the other hostels and guesthouses in Dubrovnik.

Liked: This guesthouse is the best that I've found. its not a place to come if you want to party and meet other people, but if you're looking for a stunning Croatian view, a clean and private room, and an amazing host then this is the place. My favourite to date! The lady that owns it drove us in her car, she did our laundry, bought bread and jam for breakfast. She is an absolute doll.

Disliked: Nothing! The bus ride into the old town is a quick 20 minutes. But we walked it every time because its beautiful and we could always use the exercise after sitting on trains, busses and planes so much. The stairs coming from town are tough :)

Liked: Perfect appartement and the friendlies person (staff) on our journey. Also good breakfast, transport from the bus station, hospital, pharmarcie.

Disliked: The Appartement is on top of a hill, but there is a busstation right next to it (15 min. to oldtown)

Liked: The host was so nice! Picked us up when we came, and dropped us off when we were leaving. She drove us to the old town aswell.

Disliked: the location was not the best. but if you don´t mind sitting on a bus for a short while it´s a great place. We also walked a couple of times.

Liked: She was an incredible hostess! Ivo has all of the upsides of a traditional hostel (free WiFi, kitchen, etc.) with all of the personal touches of a guesthouse. She went out of her way to help us, and I would stay again in a heartbeat. Would definitely recommend!

Disliked: 40 min by bus to Old Town, and it can be a bit rough if you have a weak stomach.

Liked: Zeljka is the the most amazing host you will ever meet! She went out of her way to help & was always there to greet with a smile! I had the most amazing time at Ivo guesthouse & have recommended all of my family, friends, extended family, everyone who I have met on my travels to stay at Ivo. It was absolutely fantastic & I can't speak highly enough!

Disliked: John left no negative feedback.

Liked: The view from the balcony is great, takes in the whole Dubrovnik harbour. The single room was small, but you dont need anything more than what is provided, as why would you be spending time in your room and not exploring the town. The location is very near a bus stop and is easy to find as it is the last stop on that line. The owner is very friendly and accommodating, and collected me from the ferry.

Disliked: It is a bit far from the Old Town, but nothing a 15min bus ride cannot fix. If you are walking it is a bit of a mission to get up all of the stairs from the harbour, but you can just take a bus. As it is not in the town meeting people is a difficult, it is a bit isolated. But it is a nice place to get away.
