Liked: We had the best time at Ivo Guest house, the owners are the most wonderful people ever, they were honestly the friendliest and kindest people we've ever stayed with. It was very easy to arrange for the five of us staying there even though they offered only one room on the hostelbookers site, the owner did absolutely everything to make our stay amazing. She drove us to the old town when we needed it, provided us with all the information about buses and her lovely mother even brought us fresh dragon fruit every night. :) The rooms are excellent and the location of the guest house is great, the bus to the old town is not expensive at all and it was beyond easy to reach the old town on foot, plus if you go on foot you'll see a lot more. We hope to return to this guest house very soon!

Liked: It was so wonderful!! Zelijka (the owner of the property) went way out of her way to make my stay a wonderful one. She was so warm, friendly, and helpful. She let me know all the great places to visit and provided me with maps and directions. She even took me to the doctor when she found out that I was ill and drove across town to the only open pharmacy so that I could get my medicine. I cannot say enough about the hospitality of this place. I would definately recommend this place!

Liked: A great place to stay while in Dubrovnik, a short bus ride to and from the Old City - the bus stop is right outside the property. Very helpful owner too.

Liked: Zeljka (the owner) was a really lovely lady - she met us from the port free of charge, provided us with drinks and breakfast and dropped us at the coach station. It was great value for money and the room was lovely - fab view across the harbour and a 20 minutes bus ride into the old town.

Liked: Ivo Guesthouse was like a travellers paradise and I strongly recommend it. We travel alot and I have stayed in many hostels/B&Bs and I have never met anyone as friendly or helpful as the owner Zeljka. She was always on hand to help us plan our day (Mljet is a great daytrip), pick us up and drop us off at the bus station or in old town & make us coffee in the morning! And the bus stop is only 50m away!

Liked: One of the best guest houses I have visited. Rooms were spacious clean and tidy and Zeljka was an excellent host ensuring the place was immaculate and the fridge stocked for breakfast. The bus to the old town stops just outside the guesthouse, runs regularly and is very cheap. The views over the new port from your room and the charming terrace have to be seen to be believed. Zeljka and her family made our visit, they were very friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough for us during our stay including the odd cup of coffee and much needed ice cream. Would definitley recommend. to others.

Liked: Zeljka was amazing! The Guesthouse was very clean and the views from the bedroom balcony on to the Adriatic Sea were stunning! Zeljka made us so welcome and was extremely accommodating. She even gave us a lift into the old town and told us where was the best places to eat for good taste and value. The rooms have air conditioning and there are very easy bus links into the old town, but if you like walking (be aware there is a part of this walk with many steps), then the old town is only 2km away. We walked there and back every day. Great stay; excellent host; good value and beautiful views - What more could you ask for?

Liked: Zeljka was extreamly helpfull, speaks good english and picked us from bus station and even made us breakfast free of charge next morning and drove us back to the bus station. Location is good in a respect to the location of bus station, but not so good if you want to walk to old town, but busses go frequently..

Liked: The proprietor was super friendly and helpful and made our stay very enjoyable by creating a social atmosphere for guests and going out of her way to make us feel welcome. Anything we needed, Zeljka would help out if she could, whether it was a ride to town or a restaurant recommendation. She is the most helpful B&B owner we have met!

Liked: I can't rate our stay more highly. Immaculately clean, beautiful view, and most of all an incredibly friendly and welcoming host. She went out of her way to look after us, helping us buy ferry tickets, giving us coffee and generally providing a wonderful welcome to Croatia. Thank you!

Liked: I can't rate Ivo Guesthouse highly enough. It's a great experience and excellent value for money. We had a room with a fantastic view of Dubrovnik port - better than most (all?) you'd get in the old city. The place has two double rooms with great views and a single one without. There is also a verandah overlooking the port where anyone can sit. The family couldn't be kinder - offering drinks, access to the internet anytime, letting us use their phone when we had a car problem, interpreting for us, researching festival activities. We also learnt about their experience of the war which provided a fascinating insight into a local's perspective. There is a kitchen if you want to save money on eating out and a simple breakfast is provided. The bathroom was shared but never presented a problem. The atmosphere meant that everyone talked to everyone else but you can have privacy if you want. It's a bus ride away from the old town but there was less hustle and bustle. The distance meant that we explored other areas of Dubrovnik and enjoyed the view.

Liked: Željka was an amazing host and I would absolutely recommend this guesthouse. She came to pick us up at the bus station and dropped us off the next day (after serving us coffee!), She made the beginning of our trip relaxing and memorable.Thank you, Željka!

Liked: Zjelka (not sure of spelling) is the lady who runs and owns the place. she was absolutely amazing. its worth the stay just to experience her hospitality. she insisted on driving me everywhere i wanted to go... as well as picking me up when i got to dubrovnik. it was the same 4 everyone. she cooked us pancakes and there was always juice made up when someone was there. awesome views, convenient location. i will defs go back
