Liked: Ivo Guesthouse is the most amazing place I have ever stayed at! The room was lovely, big and clean and the view was the best Ive ever seen. Zeljka is such a nice lady - she picked us up from the port and also took us to the old town for day trips. She is amazing! I highly recommend this place, I cant express how beautiful it is.

Liked: This guest house is brilliant!The guesthouse is very clean and welcoming with an amazing view of the port and easily accessible to the old town. Zeljka is a wonderful woman. From the first to the last she was just so friendly; and helpful to an extent well beyond normal expectations. She picked us up from the bus station, gave us loads of advice about visiting the town and generally made us feel so welcome. She even offered to pick us up at 1am if we were out and missed the last bus! We just couldn’t bring ourselves to take her up on that though. Hvala Zelijka!

Liked: I cannot recommend this place highly enough! Zeljka went out of her way to help me, gave me lifts when I needed them and even a bus ticket to use when I had finished my day sightseeing! I have travelled for many years all over the world, and have never encountered anyone as gracious and lovely a host as her. I will definitely be staying here again next time I am in Dubrovnik!

Liked: We stay at Ivo guest house for 2 nights and strongly reccommend them. They are certainly the best accomodation in Dubrovnik by far! Zeljka was the most helpful and pleasant person I have ever meet, she picked us up from the bus stop, recommended all the main sites around dubrovnik and best places to eat. Zeljka even drove us to the the war memorial musuem at the top of dubrovnik and gave us a personalised tour. The only con is Ivo Guesthouse is located about a 10 minute bus ride from the old town. However the view from the room definitely compensates this, the bus only cost 8 Kuna, which is about 1 pound and Zeljka drove us quite a fews times to the old time. I would definitely stay at Ivo Guesthouse again upon our return to Croatia.

Liked: Zeljka was wonderful! She could not have been kinder or more helpful. We have been traveling Europe for 3 weeks and this has been our best experience with our accommodations. The house is a bit out far from the Old Town but we hardly noticed. When we arrived by ferry, Zeljka was there to pick us up (even though I gave her the wrong time). She drove us to the house and gave us drinks and ice cream on the terrace (which had a beautiful view of the port). She gave us a map of Dubrovnik, pointed out good restaurants and sites and gave us a bus schedule. Then she drove us into town. The next day she made us crepes for breakfast and drove us to the port to meet our ferry. The only bad thing I can say is that we couldn't stay longer. Zeljka truly goes above and beyond to make sure you have a good time in Dubrovnik. It was also the best night of sleep of my travels (comfy bed and pillow, air con, quiet) and the bathroom was spacious and clean. I would definitely stay here again!

Liked: This guesthouse has an amazing view of the city. Zeljka made every effort to make our stay as comfortable and convenient as possible, driving us around places, etc. When we arrived back from the Island of Lopud, she conveniently drove by and picked us up. I would take the advice from other reviewers and go up to the war museum with her. There, you will learn from her personal experiences going through the war in Dubrovnik (1991).She is an amazing lady, and we felt so spoiled. She was like a mom to us.

Liked: We had a wonderful time in Dubrovnik, and most of it was thanks to Zeljka and her guesthouse. It was a very nice house uphill with a great view of the town, very clean and cozy. And even though it was not really close to the Old Town, it was a nice walk over there and plus Zeljka would drive you anywhere as long as she was available, and she was very helpful in everyway, providing maps and information on where the locals go to eat or just sitting with us for a chat. Thanks a lot for everything!

Liked: great location at the top of the hill overlooking the bay, view from the room was world class. easy bus ride from the old town, it's the last stop so you can't fail. zeltjke takes you to the war museum at the top of the mountain overlooking the city, well worth the trip just for the sight. her insight into the war offers an otherwise overlooked insight into the country's recent history. this place gives you the benefit of a short bus ride to the old city and walk into the residential areas of Lapad and Gruz. top class.

Liked: My husand and I stayed for one week at Ivo Guesthouse and we cannot recommend highly enough. The owner is very hospitable, helpful and gave us lots of advice on what to do and where to go locally. Nothing was too much for her and she treated us to delicious Croatian home-made food. She took us to visit the war museum-very interesting and sad place.The location of this apartment is excellent, with stunning views over Gruz harbour and the bus stops right outrside the door. You won,t have such amazing views if you stay in the Old Town, at the same time it is easy to access the Old Town as public transport is excellent.The apartment is well equipped, extremely clean (bed linen and towels changed during the week) and we enjoyed every moment of our stay. It is blissfully quiet at night but for those who want to party it is easy to access the Old Town.We will happily recommend this place to all our friends......wonder place to sample real Croatian hospitality. Durovnik is a beautiful city and there are many places to visit ouside of the city.Thank you Zjalka from Wilfie and Jennifer Toal, Ireland 6th April-13th April 2010!!!!!

Liked: Zeljka is just a great host! She's a nice, friendly and very hospitable person. Although I paid for a single room, she let me stay in a free double room with a wonderful view on the sea and a balcony. I felt really at home at her guesthouse! And it's not at all that far from the Old city. Just a very nice walk downhill...

Liked: This is not a fancy place but it has everything you need and more. It's a 15 minute bus ride from the old town which is worthwhile for the amazing seaview you get from the top of the hill. The owner is super-lovely and super-helpful, she helped to organise my trip, she gave me lifts to and from the bus station and the old town a few times and I had breakfast even though that wasn't officially included. I would definitely recommend this place, I had a great time there :)

Liked: One of the best places i have stayed on my trip around the world. The owner is amazing and very generous with her time. I would recommend this to everyone. Beautiful view of the old port. Easy to catch the bus into the old town . Kitchen and Wifi, laundry facilities what more could you ask for. brilliant

Liked: Zeljka the guesthouse's owner was very warm, friendly and hospitable. She picked us up from the station and drove us to the supermarket cos we wanted to get some food. She also picked us up from the Old Town and took us up to the mountain to visit the War museum that wasn't covered by buses, She even baked us some delicious donuts! The house was clean with beautiful views of the coast. Thumbs up!
