Liked: It was very well-located, great air conditioning (essential in 35-40 degree heat) and there was a fabulous view as soon as you walked out the door. Marko was very friendly and helpful.

Disliked: The main disadvantage was the very noisy fridge, which we turned off to sleep - as we stayed such a short time, we did not use it. The furniture was a bit old-looking but for us this was not very important as we only came back to sleep and shower.

Liked: Marco the host is such a legend. Made us feel like we were friends right from the start and couldnt have been more helpful.That and the location make this the perfect pick to explore the old town.Such a warm welcome.

Liked: Marko came and met us so we didn't struggle finding the hostel. He also spent the time showing us places of interest to visit on a local map and which restaurants to eat at/avoid. A very worthwhile 15 mins. Felt like I knew my way around straight away.

Liked: We had an excellent stay at Hostel Marker. Marko (the manager) was so helpful and answered all the questions we had on arrival as well as recommending places to go/eat in Dubrovnik. The location is excellent - near the bus station and not far from gate into the Old Town (a five minute walk). I would definitely recommend this place to stay in Dubrovnik!

Liked: The owner/manager, Mario, was super-friendly and very helpful. He really wanted to ensure that we enjoyed our stay in Dubrovnik and at the hostel.

Liked: The location of this hostel is fantastic, its right in the heart of the old town and has a small beach within 50m of the hostel. The staff were really helpful and friendly. The rooms have air conditioning which was great at this time of year. Unfortunately the beds were fairly terrible, quite uncomfortable and worn, bedding provided was minimal, this detracted from what is a beautiful holiday location. They don't take any cards for payment at this hostel, so you have to pay in cash which could be an issue if your not prepared for that.

Liked: The helpfulness and friendliness of the proprietor was exceptional. Cannot rate him high enough. The location is just perfect for a visit to Dubrovnik as it is situated right outside the city walls. We will definitely be recommending this place and your web site to our friends.

Liked: The name Marco says it all - he alone is worth the visit - my girlfriend wants to marry this guy!! He and his hostel were fantastic. Never seen a hostel run in such a way where they will literally bend over backwards to help you! Definately recommend to anyone!! I have stayed at my far share of hostels and Marco was by far the ahead of the rest. By the way the location was fantastic literally just outside the walls on the water.Marco even helped us out with parking.

Liked: The location was the only thing that was good about this property, this is not a hostel type accommodation basically you could be staying in any room around Dubrovnik so be prepared

Liked: The location was fantastic and really close to everything we needed. The staff were really friendly and helpful and if they recommend a restaurant it's not because they have a deal with them or anything like that, it's because it's good. The property was exactly as described.

Liked: Very welcoming and helpful staff that met us on arrival and showed us parking facilities and helped with everything possible. First night accommodation was slightly different than what we had booked but the next night we got our own apartment which was excellent.

Liked: Fantastic place and Marko was so helpful, he recommended places for us to eat, let us check out late, etc...really an apartment rather than a hostel so good if there is 2+ of you. if you are a single dont stay there expecting to meet people. the apartment we had was amazing....it had a bath which is nice after only having showers for the last 3 months!Would definitely stay there again.

Liked: Marko was the lovliest and friendliest person. He helped with my bag and came and found me. The apartment I shared with 2 brits was brand new and very trendy. It was absolutely value for money for us. We saw other rooms that were super clean and roomy but we were particularly lucky to get this room when we arrived.
