Liked: Ana placed us in a two bedroom apartment (we shared with two Irish girls) situated in aquiet location near the harbor in Old Town. It worked out very well. Ana herself was extremely helpful, providing us with helpful information, storing some of our luggage while we traveled to the Elefiti Islands, etc. She seems to "manage" quite a number of properties -- rooms and apartments -- in the Old Town and is very earnest about meeting her guests` needs. We enjoyed our stay.

Disliked: Nothing unsatisfactory.

Liked: The owner Ana was great, she recommended all the hot spots. Beds were comfortable. Location was amazing for the price, right inside the walls.

Disliked: It isnt a hostel at all, more like a private bedroom. Showers were only hot in the morning. There was also a club right underneath our bedroom.

Liked: Very good location right in the Old Town. The apartment had air-con which was essential.

Disliked: The WiFi and Satellite T.V broke down . We told the owners about it and they tried to fix it but didn't. There was no kitchen, despite it being advertised. I asked Ana about this and she simply said that there was no kitchen. I booked an apartment which, according to the HB site, has "self-catering facilities", but there were none at all. This was disappointing.

Liked: Location was ideal. Ana was extremely helpful and made great recommendations about where to eat, what to see, where to go, how to get to the airport, since we'd arrived by bus. The facility was excellent, comfortable, convenient. A great place to stay.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: It's right in the centre of the old town, howver Ana has three properties and the one you stay in won't nessesaraly be the one listed on this site.

Disliked: Like everywhere in Dubrovnik this place is an absolute rip off, you'll be far better staying outside the old town, there are soo many places that are less that 250m walk from the town walls.

Liked: By far the best thing about this place is the location- right in the heart of the beautiful old town. We were in the Cathedral Studio Apartment which is actually just a room in a block of houses, with a small shower and toilet in one corner and a kitchen sink in another. The rooms need renovating and are not where you would choose to spend any time but in Dubrovnik you'll be too busy exploring and soaking up the atmosphere.

Disliked: Old fashioned, needs renovating, you are basically staying in someone's house, with people living in rooms around you.

Liked: The second night we stayed in an 'upgraded' room, at the Kovacka street. After our bad first night Ana was really nice and said that night was free. The rooms at Kovacka are located perfectly and the rooms are quite nice.

Disliked: The place we stayed at the first night was absolutely horrible and I hope I never have to stay at a place like that again. Even though Ana let us stay the first night for free it was a really bad experience that spoiled the first evening in Dubrovnik. If you are lucky enough to get a room in the 'actual' hostel it is quite nice. Judging from other reviews about also getting 'replacement rooms' I wouldn't take the risk with Hostel Ana.

Liked: This room is located above an Irish Pub, I stayed there on a friday night and the loud band didnt stop playing music until at least 230am. It was terriblz loud and I didnt get any sleep until very late in the night

Disliked: Its not really a hostal or b&b, but several rooms in different houses, so its not a good option when you travel on your own, no possibility yo meet other travelers

Liked: Perfect location--quiet but right in the middle of the city. The staff are amazingly nice and helpful, especially with marking up a map with the best restaurants, cafés and other must-see spots in the Old Town! Thanks so much for a wonderful stay.

Disliked: There wasn't really a convenient common area for meeting other travelers.

Liked: It is close to the town centre. Room was clean . Ana gave advice about restaurants and shops that is not overpriced. Also gave advice on cheaper parking.

Disliked: Very many steps ( 50 ) to get to the room along a narrow staircase. Not a site for older people. Getting luggage to the site from and to the car is problematic. One big problem in most Croatian towns is parking and its cost. Dubrovnic is a nightmare to park a car !

Liked: The bathrooms had been recently refurbished.

Disliked: Rooms were directly next door to the Irish pub which showed televised football matches until 9pm and then had very loud live bands until the early hours of the morning. As a consequence we had very little sleep.

Liked: Ana was very friendly and helpful. Our apartment was clean, big, had kitchen and a biiig bathroom! And the location was perfect, in the center of the old town. Would stay there again! :-D

Disliked: In the night a little bit of noise though, because of the bars below.

Liked: Ana is great .. was very easy to check in - she was right there waiting to greet us. Gave us all the local tips. The apts are in the ideal location; just know that they are absolutely tiny - not a problem for us but don't expect a big apt.

Liked: I have to thank Ana and her sister Luci for their hospitality. Both were very kind and helpful with us so everithing were perfect for us. They gave us any information and help even better than the tourist office!!! Since our stay in Dubrovnik, we have to take Ana and her sister Luci as our new very good friends as everything from them were facilities.

Disliked: We stayed only two nights and everything was OK.

Liked: Very nice and warm welcome. Ana and her team were very helpful in everything arround our stay at Dubrovnik. She was always available when we needed support. Very good opportunity to meet other people from all over the world at this place !

Disliked: Quite high price level for a hostel - but this is possible normal in this area.
