Tamarindo Backpackers Hostel is in the beach town of Tamarindo, Costa Rica. We are a small hostel located only a short walk to the beach, best surfing breaks, restaurants, stores and nightlife, but just out of the hustle and bustle of town so you can also get in touch with the nature of the zone.

Whether you are a backpacker looking for good waves, or maybe just a tranquil and pleasant place to get away from it all, this is the spot for you. With its tropical garden and large open air pagoda you can't help but feel you are truly in paradise.

Swimming pool, free internet, fully equipped kitchen, cable TV, laundry service, and our BBQ grill make it perfect for your vacation on Tamarindo Beach.

Our bilingual staff would be more than happy to give you the best advice on what to do in the zone. We can arrange surf lessons, board rentals, surfing trips to surroundings beaches, turtle watching tours and many other exciting tours.

Hostel Conditions:

-No children under 14 years in the dorms.
-Front Desk hours 7:00 am untill 10:00 pm
-Quiet hours after 11pm
-Check in until 2pm. Check out 11am
-Reservation will not be accepted if they are done with less than 24 in advance.
-Reservations will be hold unitl 4pm. If you will be arriving after 4pm, you must contact the hostel directly to extend your arrival time, otherwise it will be cancelled.

Accommodation Information

At our hostel we have the following rooms available:

1-Private twin room w/private bathroom (maximum 2 persons).
2- Private two bunk beds room w/shared bathroom (maximum 4 persons).
3- Female dormitory room (four bunk beds) w/shared bathroom (maximum 8 persons).

Location Information

From our hostel you can walk to some of the most beautiful beaches on the Costa Rican Pacific Coastn such as Tamarindo Beach, Langosta Beach or Grande Beach. Using cheap public transportation or private shuttles you can easily get to other pretty beaches and great surf breaks around such as Flamingo Beach, Conchal Beach, Avellanas Beach, Negra Beach and others. We are located a short walk away from Tamarindo Beach, the best surfing spots, and very close from the town, stores and night clubs. Tamarindo Beach is well known around the world for being one of the best places to learn to surf. We can arrange your surf lessons, or board rental.

Tamarindo night life offers a large variety of things to do from a nice dinner or chill out drink to the toughest party for spring breakers. If you are not a big party fan in Tamarindo you can also get away from the stress of the city by getting in touch with the sea and the nature.
