Liked: The staff was nice and the WiFi was fast. But I wouldn't stay here or recommend anybody else stay here. I left 1 night early from my reservation.

Disliked: - Not clean - Broken/missing windows which makes it cold at night. - Hot water in showers didn't work. (I used both showers on consecutive days and took two very cold showers.) - No room safe or lockers. I didn't feel my belongings were secure.

Liked: It has good location near major attractions. It provides breakfast and internet access.

Disliked: I lost my mouth guard while staying here. The cleaning lady should have turned this in since no one but myself can use my mouth guard.

Liked: Handy location, friendly English-speaking owner.

Disliked: Breakfast was described on previous reviews as "fantastic", but it was just bread, jam, coffee and one very sugar-coated cereal and some pineapple slices which we had to ask for.

Liked: good location near the city center and some bar. 24 h checking. Quiet whit few customer

Disliked: We were arriving late (12h30 AM) and the staff put us in a better room for "not disturbing others" who was near the entry.until next morning and for have time to find my reservation..The next morning the hostel was charging for that ( 20 dollars more).... and come up whit my reservation saying that it doesnt saw it (we were making the reservation 15 daysbefore). Very few shower and very few tourist. It's more a Hotel than hostel. No towel, y no soap in the shower

Liked: It was in a great location, in the heart of downtown San Jose. It was more of a hotel than a hostel, and there were no other backpackers here but it was great to relax here for a couple of days. The buffet breakfast was great!

Liked: Excelllent location right in the heart of San Jose, a 2-3 block walk from the main shopping street, National Theatre, English language bookstore, good restaurants, Meseo de Jade etc. The staff were extremely helpful with making tour and interbus reservations on my behalf, and the property is very secure.

Disliked: Nothing!

Liked: extremely friendly and helpful staff! if you need an early breakfast that's no problem either.

Liked: Helpful staff, great breakfast (cereal, toast, fruit, coffee and fruit juice), free internet, within walking distance of San Jose's main attractions. Good value for San Jose at $10 for a dorm. Private rooms, however, are not worth the price. Not a party hostel which is exactly what I wanted.

Disliked: The traffic from the street becomes noisy around 6am so it's not surprising that everyone is up by 7.30am.

Liked: Located in the center of the city near the markets and tourist sites of the city, very safe and secure, and flexible with breakfast for early morning departures.

Disliked: A little bit of a distance from bus terminals and airport, however, the airport and bus terminals are a bit of a distance from the city center, so it depends on what you want to do in San Jose.

Liked: Nice place in a really old building. Location is quite good. Close to "famous" Hotel del rey. Staff is really friendly and helpful. Free internet, free breakfast. Toilet an shower are quite old, but ok. Shower was a little cold. But really worth the money. Food store next door!

Disliked: cold shower.

Liked: Location to Avenida Central and other downtown attractions. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a bonus -great coffee, juice, cereal, toast and fresh pineapple.

Disliked: no dislikes whatsoever

Liked: Good internet, good common areas. Clean beds.

Disliked: There's not many showers, no security lockers. There is a luggage storage area that the guy at the front desk has a key too, but thats not enough for computers and passports and stuff.
