Liked: It's very quiet, inside the hostel and also the environment, the staff is always friendly and very helpful - it's exactly what I like, nice guests, no drinking, no noise at night, totally correct

Liked: It was a quite period when we went but the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We could not possible have asked for more.

Liked: Pension de la Cuesta is a reallz nice place to stay in San Jose / its in the middle of the city and you can walk to nearly everything. The staff is great and really helpfull, I enjoy the stay here a lot. Beds are clean, you get a clean towel when you arrive and facilities are okay, you got internetaccess for free and also a saloo with tv, if its one of the many rainy nights. i can just recommend this hostel / i also love its look, it looks like a barbiehouse, and inside its also cute!

Liked: Good Location, very friendly and helpful staff, free internet

Disliked: Our private room had a shared door with the COMMON bathroom, somewhat irritating, most rooms have no window, somewhat sad athmosphere.

Liked: Staff were very friendly and greeted us warmly on entry. Ceiling fan. Nice area with tv and sofas

Disliked: Floor was dirty, overpriced for what you got, lock on the door was about to come off and I did not feel my valuables were safe.

Liked: Hostel is clean, in a great location and has friendly staff however there was barely anyone else there when we were there and it is probably a bit expensive for what it is.

Liked: The location is good, staff is very helpful, it is clean, but rooms are not good, too expensive for what they are, and bathrooms hardly deserve that name. You can do better.

Liked: It was located right near the things to see in San Jose, but not too in the center of everything, making it safe & secure. A good breakfast everyday. Using the internet was sometime more helpful planning out trips than asking the staff, but they were helpful in other ways too!

Liked: It is close to everywhere. Nice facilities, breakfast, internet and all. Staff patient and friendly and they have all kind of information to travel around Costa Rica. Very, very quiet...just what I need after all day of touring.

Liked: Albero (spelling?) could not have been more helpful. He helped us book an excursion, and spent more time than he should have helping us book a bus out of CR when we were having problems doing so, he even offered to buy the tickets for us!! We had an apartment which was big and awesome, the place is basic but clean and has character, the communal lounge is great and the location is vey central. You would be crazy not to stay here!!!

Liked: well i would say the spacious room but the room is right next to the kitchen so it is rather noisy, cant change to other rooms as other rooms dont have fan. Only certain part of the house has wireless the rest drop out every 2 mins and drives u insane...
