Liked: Very helpful staff, knowledgeable and accommodating. The hostel has a lot of space to veg out and offers free phone calls.

Liked: Not much at all.

Disliked: They had decent rooms, but decided to put me in a termite, mildew, water damage, broken lock room, where the floor was covered in a white chemical.

Liked: Well, in the first time Bekuo is great because of his staff, they are friendly people who help you in whatever you need to have a nice trip. The atmosphere is so good, is easy to know friendly people from all the word and many of them want to get fun and go to party. If you prefer something more relaxing you can play pool or wii, watch a movie in the living room or read a book in nice garden.

Disliked: Only the idea that you have to go back to home in sometime.

Liked: The staff (especially Brian) went out of their way to be helpful. For example, Brian woke up at 445am to try to book a day trip for us. I would highly recommend staying at Bekuo.

Liked: great laid back atmosphere, the staff was extremely helpful especially the owner, brian, really great guy who i feel went out of his way to make sure you had any type of info you needed. the hostel itself has a lot to do there and the set up makes it easy to meet and hang out with other travelers. hated san jose and would honestly only go back because of the fun time i had at hostel bekuo :)

Liked: Hostel Bekuo has a friendly, welcoming staff. They are incredibly helpful and sincerely cared about making my experience in Costa Rica the best it could be. The staff knew the country well and they gave me great advice on activities, the best companies to go through, and some of the better food spots around. Whether it was going out to listen to music and have a couple drinks or sitting around sharing our experiences, there was always something to do while hanging out at the hostel. The hostel itself has a warm, homelike feeling. After a long day rafting down the Pacuare river (arranged by the hostel staff), it was nice to be able to cook a meal in Bekuo's spacious kitchen and have a beer while playing billiards with some fellow travelers. Overall, it was one of my better hostel experiences.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Located in a residential area, and downtown San José is a few minute bus ride, I was able to walk safely during the day and at night to nearby restaurants, bars, and shops. The staff is knowledgeable about places to see and visit. The morning free pancake with fresh fruit breakfast is a blessing!

Liked: Very helpful staff, nice security gate at the entrance, they also have a pool table for free use and a nintendo wii :) very fast internet connection (wireless)

Liked: Hotel Bekuo is the perfect place to stay in San Jose! It is in a good location in downtown, has everything what you need, helpful staff, facilities, garden and a big, safe gate. The rooms are nice-sized, clean, simple.

Liked: Chill and cruisy, nice staff and they were happy to help. Good facilities and it's always good form to have all the little 'extras' included like towels and breakfast. Rate it, it's set up well for a great atmosphere given the right crowd.

Liked: I planned on staying for 2 nights...which turned into 3 periods with a total of about 2 weeks. The hostel has an incredible atmosphere, really laid back. The area around the hostel has pretty much everything you need from restaurants in eveery price range, to a big supermarket and a proper shopping mall. Its not to fa from town and there is plenty of buses bringing you there. The staff/owner: They were the reason why I came back 3 times. You gotta love this place!

Disliked: No lockers in the droms...but thats really it.
