Liked: A friendy home from home while your in Costa Rica. Pierre and Gina are lovely and can help you sort out timetables and taxis. We stayed two days then returned on two other occasions while in San Jose. Quiet, clean and friendly.

Liked: The Dutch owner goes out of his way to be helpful and friendly. The location was good for us to visit our dentist in Sabana Sur. The hotel is very clean and you feel that your belongings are safe there. The morning coffee is good and strong. Pierre let us wash our clothes in his washer free of charge. On the down side is that the rooms have no screens on the windows and mosquitos get in if you leave your windows open. No fan was in our room so it felt a little stuffy. If they told us that no credit cards were accepted, we didn´t remember and we were a bit taken aback when the owner didn´t have change for our cash, which made it a little more hassle. We suspect that you are better off taking a taxi on the meter from the airport rather than paying his driver $20 but on the other hand, it is very hard to find this place the first time as it is on a side street and has no external markings that indicate it is a b+b. Compounding this problem is the fact that this street as well as many others in San Jose` seem to have no names. The directions from McDonalds that the owner gives are helpful, and, if he knows you are arriving, he will go outside and flag you down. Ask for a fan and a room on the back side and you will find this a comfortable place to stay.

Liked: It is very clean and the host will help you as much as he can with planning the trip. Staying there really makes you feel at home! We stayed 6 weeks in Costa Rica and this place definitely gave you the best value for your money: cheap, clean, close to everything and an awesome host!

Liked: The owner was wonderful and helpful and the place was really clean. really clean. We felt safe and they were quite helpful in getting a taxi for us on several occasions, and explaining in spanish where we needed to go. they served breakfast and just helped us with everything we needed. It was not a party atmosphere and we did not want it to be, it was private quite and safe, and the price was wonderful. I would go thee again and I am telling all my friends to go there also.
