Liked: An excellent hostel with some of the nicest and most helpful staff I have met in over 4 months travelling so far. Feels like staying at a mate´s house, I would definitely recommend for a chilled stay in San Jose.

Liked: When we were at this hostel, we were the ony ones there 1 night and 1 guy was there the second night. They have a flawed locking system where the person on duty has to unlock a padlock for you to get out. One morning we wanted to get out and couldn't because the person had stepped out! We had to escape through the garage. Very quiet, good location, nice staff, but several did not speak english.

Liked: I liked everything about this place. The staff are excellent and the location makes for an easy walk into the centre of San Jose. It is a nice, friendly and relaxed place to stay.One small gripe is the size of lockers. I have a 90 litre rucksack which is to big for the lockers on offer. They did accommodate me by locking it away in an unoccupied private guest room, but lockers are preferable to me.The owner, Rod, helped me a lot when I needed to find information on buses to Panama.

Liked: This hostel is lovely, its got real character and even though isnt in the best area of San Jose the people who work here are so helpful and friendly! Defo worth a stay. Very clean, although watch the shower in the dorm room, it electrocutes you!

Liked: The staff is great!! Specially Paola, she's a great to advice you on places to visit. The place is a bit far away from downtown, but not as much as to not be able to walk it. They have a fooseball, beers, music, a nice kitchen, some stores and restaurants nearby to go get food. We were going to stay for two nights...we stayed for four, and it was worth it!!

Liked: The staff are so so helpful and very friendly. I flet very secure here as a young girl traveling alone. The hostel itself is a beautiful building witha great atmosphere- feels like home! I am returning to San Jose at the end of my trip and will definately be staying here again. Would reccomend to all!

Liked: We stayed here only 1 night (checked in late and checke out early) therefore can´t give very detailed evaluation, but place seemed nice. Only backward is location, it is walkable distance from the very center, but it´s also a little bit dangerous (we had accident with guy who tried to rob us on the streets, but luckily everything ended well)

Liked: Everything - after traveling throughout all of Central America for 2 months, this was by far the BEST hostel we stayed at. The young owners were welcoming and more than helpful.The hostel is set in a beautifully restored Colonial house with modern bathrooms, common area, cable TV, free wireless internet, kitchen and hot showers.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Liked: It was lovely - the staff were great and welcoming and the building was beautiful. We were the first guests as it's new, but I have a feeling it will fill up fast, everything was excellent.
