Liked: It was safe feeling and in a good location.

Disliked: The sign said movie every day at three yet when we were all waiting they said there wasn't a movie. The shuttle was suppose to pick us up but never came so after waiting for an hour we took a taxi and they still made us pay for the shuttle because apparently we should have waited all day for it. The staff, especially front desk lady are not friendly and make you feel bothersome if you ask a question. Souless is a great way to describe this place. Its huge and you are just a numbet unlike other hostels where the owners care about helping you.

Liked: Staff was not very friendly and made it seem like I was a bother asking them questions. Also there is no kitchen, scratch that there is a big kitchen but only that the staff can use. Nice bar and pool.

Liked: Outstanding. The quality of the staff is unparalleled. Polite, professional, patient, bilingual. The owners are awesome. Superior. I have lived in over 40 countries in five years. This is the place to meet true world travelers and have privacy throughout the stay if so desired. Cleaning constantly. Beds are great. Airflow throughout the building. Rooftop bar, rooftop restaurant and pool. All excellent. Even the restaurant has extremely fair pricing with variety. Computers 24\7. No curfew. Door security. Lockers. Taxi's and airport transportation quickly upon request. Bus stations close. Banks close. Simple. SAFE. Everything. Respect is throughout this hostel. And permission to be free with courteousness to do what one chooses. Proximity to everything. Zoo three blocks away. City center is three blocks away with stores and restaurants all along the way. Juice bar with fresh squeezed fruitsand\or vegetables one block away. Get that!! These people are absolutely wonderful and will accommodate with all effort achieving your desired results. If you are coming to Costa Rica this IS the place to stay. Matchless. Pangea is the best. Love to Pangea. Love, peace and tranquility to you all. Live freely and beautifully. Pura Vida!!

Liked: i dont know why the reviews rave about this place. unsafe, terrible location and by paying extra money for a private room, we somehow got a room that was even worse than the dorm if that is possible

Liked: I had booked a 4 bed dorm but they put me in a 6 bed dorm. After I complained I was immediately moved to a much nicer, cleaner room upstairs with only 4 beds. It is a busy place. new modern bathrooms are being built upstairs so it can be noisy in the morning and music is pretty loud at night but the place is generally very clean and safe. the location is good and the upstairs restaurant has a rich menu although not the best value. several modern pc's are available for fast internet connection and they seem to offer the cheapest airport transfer in San Jose. Recommended.

Liked: airport transfers are extremely convenient and well worth it. Staff are extremely helpful regarding and information and requests. The bar is fantastic and the food was suprisingly excellant. would definitely recommend this place if looking for a hostel in san jose.

Liked: Nice and clean hostel. Free internet was great and staff was nice. I wouldn't eat there though. The meals I tried were small. Chicken sandwich was super small and fruits+yogurt and granola was even smaller.

Liked: There is a restaurant and bar at the hostel so you don't need to go anywhere else in the city if you get in late. Everything is very convenient and easy about the hostel, it's a one stop shop for anyone who is just passing through the city and doesn't want to venture outside the hostel walls. The only issue I had was the noise level later at night. I had to get up at 5am and the music was a little too loud when I was trying to fall asleep.

Liked: It has a really cool rooftop bar with happy hour bein 9pm til 12pm! It's a really good place to meet other travellers as it is good value for money! The only bad thing is the showers are really cold!
