Liked: Nice hostel with nice staff! No loud music no drunk backpackers.... Peace and relaxing! Feel like home.

Liked: This hostel is beautiful. The art deco decoration and interior design are really beautiful. Probably the classiest hostel I've ever visited. There are legit coffee table books, a nice living room hangout area. and garden in the back. Jessie is also very helpful in providing travel advice.

Disliked: The front looks kinda sketch - but don't let that dissuade you! It's just under renovation. The interior is lovely.

Liked: The Hostel has a very natural homely feel, very comfortable and with several common areas to relax in. its almost right in the centre of San Jose and almost all the attractions are with in walking distance. The Host, Jessi, was very friendly and happy to help with any directions

Liked: Helpfull staff

Disliked: The entrance wasnot really welcoming because of work in front of the porch. The house is nice but a bit old even in the decoration. The bathroom are very old and the hot water is sporadic. The private bedrooms are fine but don't worth the price of 36$. We had NO towel like it's specify and NO restaurant, and the "fresh costarican coffe" is just basic coffe, but at least there is coffee! The dormitory is awful, setting the beds in the reception will be the same: there are about 10 beds, no door and not even wall between the huge sair that comes from the main hall where everybody go through, so don't expect sleeping after 7h am, and NO curtains at the window.

Disliked: Upstairs was not as clean as it could have been - I walked around bare-foot and afterwards they were black...

Liked: nice, large kitchen; nice lobby to hang out

Disliked: had a problem when i was there. staff had a "solution" they forced upon me and would not listen to alternatives i provided.

Liked: I loved the beautiful house and the comfortable common areas, plus the bed was really comfy as well. The staff was really kind and helpful. No doubt I would come back to this hostel if I was coming back to San Jose.

Disliked: The hot water was kind of tricky ..

Liked: The beds are really comfortable and the staff are really friendly and helpful. The location is also ideal for staying in San Jose and walking around by yourself.

Disliked: The dorm room is really big and shares one bathroom

Liked: It is in a quiet neighbourhood and next to a great park. Supermarkets are nearby and you can use the roomy, fully equipped kitchen . Great communal areas, tv room, "office" and garden.

Disliked: Some of the rooms were noisy, and the deluxe room is a bit musky, since ventilating it is difficult.

Liked: Nice restored old building. Spotless. Heaps of space to chill out. Good quiet hostel for a good nights sleep.

Liked: I liked teh openness of the whole facility and the room layout. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The common areas are very comfortable. beds were comfortable.

Disliked: We came in really late and I couldn't see my bed. In the morning I noticed that there was a bunch of sand on my bedsheets. Not so happy about that. But it was a 1 night stay.

Liked: Amazing staff and the best location I have seen in San Jose. Right across from a beautiful park and peaceful but fun. Very close walking distance to all the action without being right in the middle of it. Absolutely beautiful building with hot showers! I would definitely recommend to others and will likely be back!!

Disliked: Walls are thin so noise can be heard easily but there is a quiet policy after 1130 so that all can sleep.

Liked: Decent location.

Disliked: Although we booked a private double ensuite, we were put in a dorm room with no bathroom with a door that didn't even lock. When we asked about the mistake we were told by a very unapologetic staff person that they didn't have any double ensuite rooms. There was no hot water, neither in the morning nor at night.

Liked: The owner, Francisco, was wonderful! He was already to assist with whatever questions I or other guests had. The room was spacious and very comfortable. There was a very comfortable air about the place. My only concern was that there wasn´t a lock for my room but true to the maid´s word nothing happened to any of my belongings.

Disliked: Customer left no negative feedback.
