Liked: Correct prise,friendly people.

Disliked: Already I travelled around the world 2 times and I were in 46 countries,but here in San Jose was the most scariest city for me,,everywhere homeless,dirty,robbers are walking in night time where we were arriving there. Hostel is good,but be careful,don't go out on the street after 6pm.

Liked: This is a nice hostel, with big clean rooms and a comfortable living area. Friendly and helpfull staff and a tour company in the place as well with useful information and with whom you can book tours around the country.

Disliked: It is about a 15/20 minute walk to the city centre. There is no kitchen and no food on offer so you have to eat out. It is more of a hotel than a hostel and so you are less likely to meet other travellers here (compared to in a hostel environment).

Liked: Very clean and spacious. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The common areas were excellent and well laid out. The showers were warm and had good pressure. The staff were helpful and friendly.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Clean, safe, friendly, welcoming and spacious! I loved it. Location is great. They always have coffee and tea. They were making some changes when we left and it's looks great.

Disliked: Thankfully smoking was only permitted outside but the smoke would blow into the general sitting area :(

Liked: Nice, big, clean rooms.

Disliked: The promoted pool and garden is actually across the road at the Costa Rica Backpacker. It can be used for free and without any problems though.

Liked: It looked terrible on the outside but you got a pleasant surprise once you entered the building, neat, clean and tidy.

Liked: Beautiful, huge room with great bathroom. So spacious and comfortable. Front desk staff really friendly as well. Nice lounge/eating/internet area. A bit of an echo throughout the hallways when doors opened/shut and people spoke, but didn't hinder my sleeping at all. VERY good value for money. Only issue is location. I got in past dark and definitly didn't feel secure walking around by myself. This is no fault of the guesthouse, though. The backpackers is just across the street and is great to go and socialize, while still cominghome to a quiet, VERY comfortable atmosphere.

Liked: Big rooms and beds, but sleeping in is impossible because its very loudly in the morning. Also the breakfast is not for free like they say.

Liked: The over all atmosphere was really beautiful I've never stayed in a hostel before, and it was a great experience. I would have liked to have a T.V. in my room and maybe vending machines down stairs, but I would stay here again.

Liked: San Jose Guest House was secure and very clean. It offered a very relaxed and friendly environment with all necessary facilities. The restaurant/bar had a good atmosphere and so we didn't need to wander the town at night.
