Casa mariposa, Chirripo national Park, Costa Rica, is a family owned rustic guesthouse located in the most beautiful mountains in Costa Rica.
This is the best place for hikers, bird watchers (bird watchers say it's better than Monteverde), and nature lovers in general. You can not only hike the highest mountain in Costa Rica, there are other beautiful hiking trails around, which are not so difficult.
You can swim in the pristine river called Chirripo (it's so clean, you can drink from the river), enjoy beautiful waterfalls with picnic area, there is also local trout farm where you can catch your own fish and the owners will cook it for you.
We also offer horseback tours (cheaper than anywhere else in Costa Rica) or massages by a certified massage therapist.
Casa Mariposa offers laundry service, internet service, hot bath (bath tub built in rocks).
Guests are welcome to use the kitchen, free coffee and tea.
