Liked: This is a wonderful escape for the solo traveler and for groups. Elena is a great hostess and willing to help you prepare for your trip over email (and phone, too). She cooks wonderfully, is wonderful company, and also makes you feel comfortable so that you can do your own thing. This property is by the river, not so much about the beach, but she discloses this in the description. This is truly an escape and vacation!

Disliked: I did not like that I wasn't completely sure where I was going. I was told that Quepos and Manuel Antonio were the same place, so I ended up about 2 hours away from Finca Amanecer, and the bus stop was not very helpful. Make sure you get off at the station in Quepos, and you find the rickety old white buse for Londres.

Liked: The owner Elena takes personal control of the comfort and happiness of her guests. This is truly a different unique place to stay...You will need at least three days. Manual Antonio Nat'l Park is a day trip from the Finca Amanecer. Londres the nearby village is a great place to practice your Spanish and get a nice slice of rural Tico life.

Disliked: Donald left no negative feedback.
