Liked: The view was fantastic and the included breakfast was great! Kitchen facilities were also excellent.

Disliked: Its definitely a quiet and peaceful hostel - not for partying

Liked: This is one of the best hostel I have ever been!! It's more like a hotel! Fantastic place, great character, good location, helpful staff, the rooms are superb, extensive breakfast and so on... We had the best time time staying there and most certainly will be back!!

Liked: GREAT breakfast. The staff was extremely helpful. Out of my two week tour around Costa Rica this is the only hostel I stayed in that had the European Hostel feel. Many rooms, pretty booked, lots to see and do.

Disliked: Our room was right next to the kitchen so it could get really loud. The quiet hours should actually be enforced.

Liked: Comfortable room and beds. Great view when the clouds clear.

Disliked: We met the owner in the town on arrival. He was very pushy telling us to come back to the hostel to book a tour, which made no sense as the office of the tour we wanted to do was right next to the bus stop. Signs around the hostel said that breakfast was available from 6am. At 6.05 we asked the owner if we could have breakfast and he said it would be ready in 5 minutes. As our bus was leaving at 6.30 we could not wait.

Liked: I really loved staying at this hostel. Upon arrival we were made to feel very welcome, Jorge and his son were fantastic hosts. We stayed in a double room with ensuite, which was really comfortable. There is a great kitchen area with fantastic views, and a lovely breakfast is served each morning included in the rate. They can also arrange all tours, and would recommend going through them. Location also good, only a short walk to the main street of town. Highly recommended!!

Liked: The staff was really nice and helpful. We met a lot of really cool people here, it seemed to be the only hostel in town that was pretty full (we were there in the off season).

Disliked: Don't be loud past 10, they get a little upset :)

Liked: Everything. It was quiet, relaxing, had a great view and a great kitchen. Location was great, staff more than happy to help you with anything and everything, breakfast was self serve but included fruit, cereal, eggs toats, juice, coffee, etc.

Disliked: Nothing, it was a great place to stay, relax, meet people and enjoy Monteverde.

Liked: Great place to stay. Fantastic views from the kitchen, very very friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast, clean rooms and comfy beds. Our friend had some trouble with people talking loudly outside her room (upstairs) but nothing that a good 'shut up' didn't fix.

Liked: This hostel wasn't right in the middle of Monteverde which made it nice. It also had a great view of the valley and surrounding mountains. The staff is extremely helpful at booking tours etc.

Liked: The staff was very friendly and helpful. We met very cool friendly fellow travelers, we all got to know each other, didn't even bother shutting/locking doors (when at the hostel). Great kitchen!! And free breakfast is unbeatable!! Loves it.

Liked: best hostel i have ever stayed at! very clean, staff are super nice and will help you with anything you need including tours/excursions/etc., they have free breakfast and coffee, free internet, good location close to town. highly recommended!!
