Liked: They had a nice pool and the location was enjoyable close to Rincon de la Vieja

Disliked: The manager was drunk the whole time and we had gone there to go visit Rincon the next day, he never mentioned it was closed the next day even though we were only staying one night. We could have gone the day we got there just to go, but he was too drunk to do much of anything.

Liked: Karaoke night full of locals!

Disliked: No internet, the guy at the reception looked at my ass the entire time, paid more that the website said The worst matress ever, and I usually don't complain cause I am used to travel in Central America.

Liked: it has personality and a charming atmosphere and is very relaxing with lovely scenic surroundings. the owners have several pets (dogs, cats and a talking parrot) and also two young children, with whom our daughter enjoyed playing. we met two other older couples from france and holland, which made for good conversation around the table at dinner and breakfast. the owner is from belgium i believe and speaks several languages, good for international guests. the food was very good. the location is rather remote, very out in the country, which you'd either like or not, depending on your tastes. the rooms are clean and cute and the beds very comfy and firm. the higher altitude meant it was quite comfortable at night, even with no A/C (we were there at the very end of the dry season, for reference). the showers are hot, but the water output isnt great - it would be hard to wash long hair thoroughly before the hot water runs out (i speak from experience). it didnt seem like a place to meet many other younger travellers, or "party", but if you like quiet B&Bs with character and charm, then this is a good bet.

Liked: Very friendly and helpful people. Because you all eat together it is a very nice way to meet and talk to other travellers. The rooms are very nice and the food was excellent.
