Welcome to Casa Aura B&B. We are a modern, fully redecorated property, offering cheap accommodation in Cartago city centre.

Casa Aura B&B started business early in 2009 and is family operated. Ours is a warm and friendly place that will allow you to explore all the fascinating sites nearby and will give you the opportunity to know first hand the cultural and historical legacy of what was the 1st capital city of Costa Rica.
At Casa Aura we strive to make your stay as pleasant and relaxing as possible. If you are bringing a car, let us know so we can save you a parking spot. If our parking is full there are convenient parking lots within a block or two of our facilities.
Breakfast is served as early as you want it, and no later than 9:30 am. We offer a wide variety of fresh local fruit, fresh or toasted bread, eggs a-la-carte, and fresh cheese. If you have any special requests regarding the regular menu, do let us know in advance, and we'll try our best to indulge you.
If you are the social type, why not join us in the lounge to meet other fellow travellers, have a cup of excellent coffee or tea, or read a book from our mini international library. If you feel like dropping a line to friends and family, you can also use the lounge's laptop.
We are very proud of our garden and we'll make a point to show you around. We want you to enjoy looking at the wide variety of plants, and the butterflies and birds that visit them as much as we do.

Accommodation Information

We currently offer you 4 rooms:

A single room, single bed,
A double room, queen size bed,
A quadruple room, 2 bunk beds, and
A sextuplet room, 3 bunk beds.


The single and the double room have their own cable TV. Other room guests can watch cable TV in the lounge. All rooms have their bathroom (with hot water), convenient closets, and access to our Wifi wireless internet network.
We provide the best accommodation for the budget conscious traveller, and breakfast is included of course. Breakfast is served until 9:30 am and as early as you require it.
Our prices include all taxes and stay the same all year round: there is no high or low season at Casa Aura. We take cash and all major credit cards. We also have special prices for long stays.

- We are located 250m North to Parque las Ruinas de Santiago Apostol, Cartago, Costa Rica.
Our Bed & Breakfast is conveniently located in downtown Cartago, close to all bus hubs, the local market, the main restaurants and fast food chains, as well as health care centres. We’ll be delighted to give you the low down on the most interesting landmarks, and how to Casa Aura B&B is conveniently located 3 blocks north from Cartago's Central Park. We'll show you the best places to eat in and around town.
