Cabinas Caribe Luna

Cabinas Caribe Luna is a complex of spacious houses fully equipped for your short, medium, monthly stay in the Caribbean.

The hotel has 4 colorful and spacious cottages with a capacity up to 17 people. Two of the apartments are fully equipped, with a big kitchen, private bathroom, hot water, TV cable, wireless internet and a private balcony with a hammock with a view of the tropical garden. Two are equally equipped without kitchens

All doors and windows have mosquito netting and roof fans. It's a house with a hotel service.

Cleaning service is provided once a week with rooms cleaning, towel and sheets change when rented on a monthly basis. When rented on a nightly basis the rooms are cleaned daily along with the towels and sheets.

We are situated close to the center of Cahuita, in a quiet area surrounded by palm trees and all kind of animals.

There are many services and facilities that include internet access, free parking, cable satellite TV, ceiling fan, daily housekeeping, tours desk, and 24 hour reception.

Location Information

Nearby is a private beach, waterfront restaurant, three blocks for the village center. 800 meters to Playa Negra, a black sandy beach with a Reggae bar and Chaos Caribbean restaurant and 1 kilometer to the entrance of Cahuita National Park.
People interested in an alternative type of tourism, without crowds or travel agency organization, the ones interested in meeting the local people and their culture, will be delighted to come to Cahuita.

Cahuita is a little community near the Caribbean see. Its beaches are divided in two sections, The National Park of Cahuita, with white sand, and the Negra Beach, which is orientated to the West Side of the community.

For those who enjoy surfing and the boogies, we recommend you to come between December and July to practice these sports. The best beaches to go are the one in the entrance of the National Park, Black Beach and Big Beach. The last one is a beautiful quiet beach on the West, to which you just have a twenty minutes walk along the coast from Cabinas Caribe Luna

You can also go to Grande Beach or wander through Cahuita by bicycle or scooter, which you can rent in the community itself.

Otherwise, if you are interested in nature, you have many choices. You can snorkel and watch the beauty of the coral reef and the large variety of fishes that live there. There are a couple of places in the community where transport and stuff to go to the coral reef is offered. Furthermore you can listen to a large variety of odd birds, yelling monkeys and lazy bears while having a drink in the porch of the Cabinas Caribe Luna. When the sun goes down, the perfume of the llang-llang trees can be smelled in the garden of the cabins.

Moreover, next to Cahuita you can find the “Aviarios del Caribe”, a farm specializing in the survival of the lazy bears.(Sloths) You’ll be able to discover the way lazy bears (sloths) live and to take an amazing trip on boat through the quiet estuary, where many birds and animals can be observed in detail. They also offer excursions to the beach or a waterfall nearby on horse.

You can get to know the traditions and craftsmanship from the aborigines, who lived in this area of deep vegetation from the earliest times, booking an excursion to its territories. There you’ll be shown the “Farm of the Iguanas”, a community development project, where you can study the evolution of an iguana through its life.

There are also international restaurants, as for instance the “Cha Cha Cha” Restaurant, where Beltran, a nice Canadian will delight you with an excellent cooking of fish and meet from his country, or the “Restaurant Relax”, where Serafino cooks excellent Italian food
