Guests at Vista Atenas B&B awake to the smell of fresh brewed local coffee and a scrumptious homemade breakfast served in the splendor of our multicolored, art infused sunroom - or poolside on our ‘Mars’ terrace.

In keeping with their long-term vision for Vista Atenas B&B, Belgian owners Vera & Jean have installed a solar water heating system which provides hot water to all rental units.
An independent fresh water well is also planned for the near future, further connecting Vista Atenas to the radiance and abundance of its natural surroundings.

Free wireless internet connection is available.

Our helpful staff can assist with any in-country travel planning, including tour bookings and flight arrangements. Transportation from the airport at arrival can also be arranged and the rental car can be delivered the next day at the B&B. Relax knowing your flight home has been confirmed and that our fully bi-lingual manager is there to assist in any way possible.

Accommodation Information

Vista Atenas B&B is pleased to offer its guests a heavenly body of lodging options. All its suites are named after celestial constellations and stars that reflect the unique character of each unit.

We offer six beautifully appointed rooms each with ceiling fan, individual safety box, mini-fridge and private bathroom. For more discerning guests, our ‘Pleiades’, ‘Orion’, and ‘Delphinus’ rooms offer unparalleled valley views.

Vista Atenas Bed and Breakfast also offers 2 lovely appointed cabinas – ‘Polaris’ and ‘Sirius’ - each with double bed, mini-fridge, small kitchen and private bathroom, located in an intimate garden setting.

The 1 bedroom Villa ‘Vega’ offers all the conforts of home, including a full kitchen and bathroom, living room and separate bedroom. The private hillside terrace - appropriately named: the ‘Venus’ terrace - offers guests staying in the Villa, an intimate and stunning view of the Central Valley.

Guests of Vista Atenas B&B can enjoy a variety of nearby natural attractions, from one day guided excursions to Poás Volcano and La Paz Waterfall Gardens, to bird watching and horseback riding.

Other local attractions include Sarchi`s artisan village, Coffee tours, the Belgium inspired church of Grecia and Los Chorros waterfalls, Zarcero’s landscaped gardens, the natural water basins of Desmonte, the Zoo Ave in La Garita …

And only 5 minutes from the B&B, the charming little town of Atenas.

Aside from being known for its “endless summers”, Atenas also boasts an array of restaurants, cafés, shops & services. Guests are invited to browse the local weekly fruit market or take a leisurely stroll through the quaint streets of Atenas.

For those in search of sun & sand, Playa Jaco is within an hour drive, while guests looking to take in the sights and sounds of Costa Rica´s cultural capital - San Jose - can do so in less than an hour.

National parks such as Manuel Antonio and Braulio Carrillo are a must and so are the hot springs close to the active Arenal volcano and the nearby hanging bridges.
