The owners are very quirky and were very kind to provide me with some food the evening I arrived as there is nowhere to get any food within walking distance of Arilapa.

Only 10 minutes away from the Juan Santamaria Airport and 25km south of the Poas Volcano exist a beautiful Orange grove that borders of Itiquis river and its home to over a hundred and seventy five different species of birds and dozens of different species of butterflies, this villa is call Arilapa.
Arilapa is great place to start and end your vacation in Costa Rica, its dush vegetation, the river, waterfall and the sounds of nature is the best way to be greeted in this beautiful country.
In Arilapa you will also find that there are an array of activities such as yoga, waterfall hike, language school, or just relax and sip some Costa Rican coffee and watch the river flow.
And if you are on the go we also provide free airport pick up and drop off, transfer around the country 24 hour a day, Car rental, Affordable car rentals, white water rafting, Canopy tour and we recently open our new adventure center, for the budget traveller have communal kitchen at your disposal, Bus schedule, camp site, and we also provide Restaurant Service.

Arilapa is a family owned Bed and Breakfast . Arnoldo and Ileana turned this beautiful orange grove into a perfect place to begin and end your journey through Costa Rica.
Arilapas story is a story like many others.
It started as a dream and through a long journey with all kinds of obstacles, that were finally conquered, thanks to their perseverance and conviction that the dream has now become a reality.
This is how after 5 years the Hostel Arilapa is still open for business, we have gained alot of experience, which allow us everyday to provide better service to our clients and it is the clients that make us proud be the Arilapa family.
