Hotel Casa de Nelly

La Casa de Nelly is one of the original countryside backpacker hostels in town. French owner Nelly has lived and worked in San Agustin since around 1982 and has created a beautiful countryside retreat. Uphill and offering beautiful views of the surroundings, the gardens and comfortable lounge areas make this a very relaxing place to spend a few days. The hostel offers all the services and conveniences guests need to feel right at home in picturesque surroundings.

La Casa de Nelly is offering beautiful views of the surroundings, lovely social areas, comfortable lounge indoor and outdoor areas with hammocks for reading and relaxation. As well you can stroll around the colorful garden, observe hummingbirds and other animals. All above mentioned make this hostel a very relaxing place to spend your time in San Agustin.

The restaurant is open every day and offers tasty typical dishes from the region as well as a choice of international dishes, using fresh, organic ingredients.
We offer different types of delicious breakfasts with homemade bread and granola, organic coffee and fresh, natural juices.

There is also a bar offering refreshments and cocktails.

In addition we have another kitchen for tourists if you want to prepare your own meals.

If you feel like watching television or DVDs we offer you our lounge room where we also provide numerous games as well as swings and toys for children.

Accommodation Information

Our concept was to combine natural materials, which characterises the hostel. Bamboo beds and originally decorated rooms by local artisans will make you feel very comfortable.

We can offer you a dormitory room with the max of 3 people, private rooms and lovely "cabanas" (a hut) with a balcony and private bathroom.

Hotel Casa de Nelly has a maximum capacity of 25 people both in the main building and in cabins in the garden. Prices are from 18,000 cop (9.5US$) for a dormitory room with the maximum of 3 people, private room with shared bath for 22,000 cop (12US$) per person or a lovely private hut (cabana) with a private bathroom for 30.000 cop (15.5US$).

All the rooms in our Hotel have a view over the tropical garden.

All our showers have HOT water 24 hours.

Location Information

Located in San Agustín, department of Huila, the archaeological Capital of Colombia. The house is a 10min walk from the town of San Agustin. La Casa de Nelly is located just a pleasant 20min walk from the biggest Archeological Park.
