Hostel Caracol

Opened in 2011, Hostel Caracol is a beautiful colonial building located within the heart of Popayan's Colonial Centre. This hostel provides all the great facilities a backpacker could want and is more of a quiet and relaxed alternative to some of the other options in Popayan.

A beautiful building and a laid-back hostel; Hostel Caracol opened its doors in October 2011 to offer backpackers a colonial experience. The hostel has a number of private rooms and dorm beds available as well as internet, free Wi-Fi, kitchen, lockers (with power points for charging devices), DVD room and hot showers. The hostel also has a huge amount of information on what there is to see and do in and around the area. We allow 24 hour access with no curfew.

The hostel offers dorm bed accommodation as well a single and double rooms. All the beds are top-quality wooden frames and comfortable mattresses. The there are comfortable and warm duvet blankets and plenty of pillows to make sure you have a comfortable and warm nights sleep.

Located just 4 blocks from the main square and a stone’s throw from the top attractions in Popayan. This has long been considered the most beautiful part of Popayan's historic centre. We are located just 300metres from the most famous church in the city "La Ermita"
