Property description / Overview of facilities
Believe it or not, we are the only hostel in Colombia with 2 meter long beds, comfortable mattresses, en-suite bathrooms, hot power showers, airy rooms, fully equipped kitchen, high speed internet access also wireless, DVD and CD burning on new Dell computers, cable television and a hammock filled balcony.
We offer a full range of rooms, nine toilets, and six showers. There is an ample garden for your lounging pleasure, an outside barbeque area, and a large balcony with hammocks and table and chairs. There are four living areas, two with televisions and two for dining and internet.
Great location, only six minute walk from the metro station Poblado. Also only fifteen minute walk to the Zona Rosa of Medellin where you will find dozens of bars, restaurants and clubs. There is also a big supermarket only a five minute walk away.
The area is very safe, as is Medellin on a whole. After several thousand guests and two years, there have been no robberies.
The hostel is also a great source of information for the rest of your travels around Colombia. There is a dance academy one block away if you want to practice your salsa, and a ten minute walk is EAFIT University where you can brush up on your Spanish skills.

Directions / How to find your hostel
From ‘Terminal de Sur’ (bus station), (you will arrive here if you come from
Salento, Cali, Popayan, Pasto, etc.)
The best and only way beside walking to get from the southern bus terminal to the
hostel is in a taxi. it will be no more than 3,000 pesos. Tell the driver to take calle 10
and take the exit to Patio Bonito. from there its not far at all
from terminal norte (bus station)
The northern bus terminal is farther away from the hostel than the southern. its around 6,000 in pesos in taxi. If you don’t want to spend that much money take the metro. the northern terminal is right next to the metro station Caribe. From there it will cost
1,000 pesos each and is eight or so stops to metro station Poblado and the hostel is a six minute walk from there...
From Rio Negro airport (Medellin's main international airport) also serves Avianca and Aero Republica flights.
Option 1:
Take a taxi on your own direct to hostel.... cost 45,000 pesos
Option 2:
Take a shared taxi to San Diego.... cost 11,000. then you will need to get another taxi cost 4,000 pesos or so to the hostel.
Option 3:
Take a bus to the city centre.... cost 5,000 pesos. from there you can catch the metro to Poblado or take a taxi.... cost 4,000 pesos.
Option 4:
Walk from the airport to the hostel... cost 0 pesos, time 7 hours. not recommended over night
Option 5:
Chat up the rich daddy's girl sitting next to you on the plane and get her to drop you off outside the house. ps... book a double room before arriving.
From local city airport (the local city airport caters for flights to and from the pacific coast and coffee region)
Next to the southern bus terminal; the best and cheapest way is to take a taxi. Costing 3,000 pesos
Make sure you print instructions to give to the local taxi driver; write these down or make a copy! Some taxi drivers don't even know what planet they’re on. these directions should ease your passage to the hostel. Only the first paragraph is needed if
you are coming from the bus terminal. Just right down the four lines from .... COJA LA.....MANO DERECHA and hand them to the driver with the address.
Si viene por la 10 (desde el Lleras, desde la Terminal del sur or Terminal del norte... etc.)
Coja la variante del puente de la 10 que sale a la canalizacion de Patio Bonito y siga la canalizacion hasta el policia. En el primer policia, o sea la primera entrada que hay, voltee a la derecha, y luego tome la primera izquierda, pase los dos policias
y siga como 20 metros mas, es la casa blanca de ladrillos sobe la mano derecha.
