Liked: Great location for access to Metro. Quiet. Good information resources. Friendly and personable host. All in all, great hostel.

Liked: It's very different from all the other hostels I visited so far. I found calm, peace and felt safe at this place with the help of 2 lovely young dogs ( labrador and golden retriever) who were always in for a cuddle. The neighbourhood is very nice, close to the cheap metro and quality supermarket with atm. Frenchie Vincent, the owner, is a hard worker to provide breakfast everyday and keep the place clean all the time. He knows Medellin very well and talks about it as if he was born there. With 2 other guests from the hostel I visited Guatapé after he had advised us and we had a great time. At night we all watched television, like at home. It is a real family hostel.

Disliked: The large kitchen and the 6 beds dorms are only seperated with a curtain and can be a little noisy for guests who wish to have an early night. I would maybe suggest to replace the curtain with a light door?

Liked: Quiet, safe area of the city. Located close to the Metro line, shopping, restaurants, banks, etc. Authentic feel for Medellin as the hostel is located in an upper-middle class, non-tourist area.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: It's very good located (metro station is around he corner), very nice owner and a charming building. I recommend this hostel to everybody. It's worth the money :)

Liked: very nice place,exellent neighbourhood,i stayed in the poblado for my last stay in medellin but i didn't like,here i really felt in colombia,i liked the dorm,it,s small and very quiet at night,i loved the coffee there as well,vince and his wife helped me to organise my days,and were always ready to share a good dinner,i found a family atmosphere,hope i will be back somedays.

Liked: I was a little travel tired and just wanted to be domestic and feel at home. Casa Amarilla was the perfect place. Vincent welcomed me like a friend which is what i needed after the bus journey from Popayan. There is a lovely garden with two great dogs. The perfect place to relax in your pjs and recharge your batteries. The location is really near to the metro for sightseeing. Thank you Vincent for being so welcoming and helpful.

Liked: little hostel,lovely place.i really liked my stay here,i was advised this hostel,it was exactly what i had expected,i really felt "como en casa",owner always ready to help,very nice neighbourhood,2 blocks from the metro,100% recomended

Liked: Cool dogs.

Disliked: The dorm here is awful. There is no window, or fan, thus no airflow. It is right next to the kitchen and there is only a curtain between the dorm and the kitchen. You have to walk through the kitchen and living areas to get to the shower. Two people were sleeping on the floor in the tv room

Liked: Good breakfast, Vince the host is really friendly and will help you with anything hes like having your own tourist guide. The hostel is clean, has a good vibe and a nice garden to relax in.

Disliked: Quite far from El Poblado, so not for party goers but still has a nice area within walking distance with plenty of restaurants

Liked: A great spot to stay for two nights . . . A few blocks from the metro in a quiet, safe neighborhood. Vince was extremely helpful with directions, tips on where to go/what to do, etc. Open kitchen. The two rascally, super friendly dogs will always put a smile on your face.

Liked: Very friendly staff, 5 minutes from metro station, safe neighbourhood, quiet, and clean. The El Poblado area is easily reached by taxi, but there are also bars and restaurants within walking distance, and these places are a lot cheaper than the ones in El Poblado.

Liked: Both Vincent and Katerine - the hosts - were especially helpful in whatever I needed. As a single traveller, they did their best to make me feel at home in their city and advised me of things that I could do while in Medellin.

Disliked: Nothing. The place is described as is and the hosts were exceptional.

Liked: Very friendly and helpful owner! Was in a lovely safe neighbourhood. Hot showers and fantastic big breakfast for bargain price.

Disliked: Only minor - but would have been helpful to have our own key to our private room instead of bothering owner to open it each time.

Liked: Safe, Vince was very helpful with giving us advice and making us feel comfortable. His wife cooked delicious Ajiaco for us and we could contribute with our national dish. We really enjoyed staying here

Liked: Vincent,the French owner, is very helpful in providing info on the region`s many attractions. The locationwaseasy to each on the Metro.

Liked: Yellow House Hostel is located in a safe, clean area only 200 metres from the Metro station. The French owner Vincent was marvellous. He couldn't do enough for you. He was extremely friendly and always willing to give advice or another cup of coffee whenever needed. The hostel was very clean and quiet.

Disliked: Blankets and towels could be larger.

Liked: i really liked that i could sleep at night,my laundry smelled soap,and the coffee for breakfast was very good,the place is confortable and clean,and the metro is very close,so it is very easy to go anywhere in medellin.

Liked: The French and Colombian couple is a great team. Vince offers a lot of great information and very helpful. His wife, Katalina is very friendly but you need to speak to her in Spanish. :) The breakfast in the morning is great. The backyard is a great place to chill out. Their pets are very welcoming (Thomas and Metias). You know you can get a good night of rest here. So far this property has made our first stop in South America a very wonderful experience.
