"Staff were phenomenal and extremely hospitable. It felt like we were staying at a friend's house rather than a hostel. The room was spacious and clean, the kitchen was well stocked and the bathrooms were spotless.…"Read all Hostal Mi Casa Guatape reviews

Guatape or the town of zocolos as it is also known is a beautiful place ! As well as the many activities in the area, it also just a joy to walk around the town to see each house with a different zocolo (the best way to describe one of these is a unique piece of artwork). Once you have done this you can sit in the pretty town square and soak it all up with a coffee or a beer ! By the lake front is the malecon (or waterfront promenade) filled with bars, restauranats, stalls and many activities including a huge zip line !
El Penon rock, the biggest attraction in Guatape is a must .... a Colombian national monument, climbing the 740 stairs is worth it when you reach the top and see the 360 degree stunning views.
Our Hostel is just a short work to the rock and past that a further picturesque walk gets you to town. If you are feeling lazy, jeeps pass by every 5 minutes or so to give you a lift into town at cost of just $1000 pesos !
