About Explora Hostels
We have hot water in the showers, and enough clean bathrooms for everyone in the hostel. We also created a social area at the back of the hostel where you have access to food in our kitchen/bar which is open 24/7 for our guests.
If you are traveling solo, we can arrange for a tour guide to accompany you through the neighborhood, it’s a backpacker that came for a few days and decided to stay. If you require any guidelines on how to locate yourself in the city please do not hesitate to ask our staff which are fully capable of giving you advice or instructions to get to places.
Additionally, we arrange parties with other hostels so backpackers can get together and enjoy. We can also arrange or help you coordinate a trip to Andrés Carne de Res, the famous restaurant which everyone remembers or to Monserrate the religious mountain top nearby.
Finally, we have hair dryers, towels for hire if you forget yours. Please note that we have public PCs, DVDs and WiFi in our hostel. Nevertheless, if there is something you require and we do not have it in our hostel, please let us know and we will assist you to get it.
Based on the concept of the explora experience Explora Hostels has four types of bedrooms available:
Double room with private bathroom: These rooms are for people, or couple who don’t want to share their accommodation with others and include a private bathroom.
Private room with shared bathroom: These rooms are for people, or couple who don’t want to share their accommodation with others.
Twin room with shared bathroom: These rooms are for people traveling with a friend, or those who like their privacy but feel that they don't need a huge bed to sleep in! :) It has a shared bathroom so that you do come out of your room :)
4 bed dorms: These are rooms for four people. All of the beds are bunk beds, but each one has its own reading light and locker under the bed.
6 bed dorms: We have 2 rooms for 6 people. As well as the 4 bed dorms, these accommodations are bunk beds and each bed has its own reading light and locker. These rooms are mixed rooms, unless you come in a group.
