"Good location. Close to the main square. Staff are friendly. Love the huge underbed lockers in the dorms. 5000 COP meals are OK. Some are better value than others..."Read all Musicology hostel reviews

About Musicology hostel
In Musicology we tried to create our dream hostel. A hostel just the way we would like to find when we travel, implementing “wisdoms” we picked along the way but mainly avoiding the things we learnt not to do from other hostels we stayed in.
Our beautifully restored colonial house has 2 patios, a garden and hammocks to chill out on. We have a fully equipped bar, all staff speak fluent English, hot water with strong pressure 24h, blankets like your mama will leave on your bed at home, extra wide bed, best mattresses in the market and private bathrooms in most our dorms.
The room price includes free breakfast, free bed sheets and towel, free internet, free Wi-Fi, free local calls, free safe deposit boxes in all dorms with electricity plugs in them to safely charge your electric toys, free use of the guest kitchen, free smiles, free Salsa classes every Thursday, free exchange library, free luggage storage, free and complete travel info about Bogota and the area, free use of the hostel after checkout until 23:00, including showers and internet, free games and playing cards and much more.
Here are some more services you can enjoy in our hostel, and forgive us if some of them are not as free.
Bar with all night happy hour (why limit happiness to 2 hours a night?), Same day laundry service, iPod and MP3 docking stations in the toilets, Charging corner for all king of cell phones, heart pacers, Currency exchange,24h reception, Night guard, No curfew or lockout, In hostel Spanish teacher, Restaurant with a wide vegetarian selection and most important our Thursday (high season only) and Saturday night crazy turtle bar hopping party bus.
Let the music rock your soul.
Following are the types of dorms we can offer you in the hostel:
12 bed private bathroom 16,000 COP (Reggae and RnB)
8 bed shared bathroom 18,000 COP (Soul)

Now, what type of music will it be?
Musicology hostel is situated in the historic centre of Bogota.
We are located 3 blocks from Plaza Bolivar, the main square of Bogota, where the Palace of Justice (Supreme Court), the National Capitol (Colombian Congress), the Liévano building (Bogotá's Mayor) and the Primate Cathedral, built between 1807 and 1823, are all located.
We are also a very short walking distance from the gold museum, Botero museum, the Police museum, a supermarket, banks and transportation to all corners of Bogota including the airport and bus station.
