steven wadesonThe place is ok, but with the open common areas roofed over with corrugated plastic they seem to be cool smoking under it - is rather distasteful. Needs more crockery/cutlery. Showers are average. Bed are good and sturdy. No locker areas provided. One hammock. Laundry service is right quick. |

Hayley RussellDO NOT STAY ANYWHERE ELSE IN BOGOTA! Hostel VillaCandelaria is simply amazing! Great atmosphere, entertainment (they have a pool table, huge selection of movies, xbox, cable tv in some rooms, wifi and cheap beer!), BREAKFAST INCLUDED, excellent clean rooms (the cheapest private rooms we could find in the area) and some of THE MOST friendly and helpful staff we have encountered in over 6 months of travelling from the tip to the top of South America. I especially have to send an enormous thanks to Jaime, who found and kept my passport safe after I very stupidly forgot it and traveled 20 hours to Cartagena. Jaime sent me an e-mail letting me know it was safe and proceeded to have it couriered to me at my knew hostel! Incredible! To sum it up, it's 1 min walk from Platypus, but at much better value for money, don't waste your time staying anywhere else. |
