Although the toilet and bathroom wasn't as good as the one in Backtreet Hostel Guilin, and the staff wasn't as knowledgable about where to rent bikes from, day trips etc. this was the hostel which i will remember best for the great travellers i met there! Had some great converstations till late, made some friends. Good value for money. Hostel is really in a backstreet, but has a very good locations: close to West Street but remote enough not to allow all the base from the discos at night.

Next to main street but off of it just enough that it's not too loud or busy if you want to relax. Beware if taking the bus from Guilin as the conductor will try and drop foreigners off early as part of a scam to get you to stay at another hostel. Do not get off the bus until you're in a real bus station. You'll know it when you get there because everyone else will be getting off and there will be tons of buses around. Loved the hostel though. Nice people who went out of their way to help you.

It didn't leak. The service staff were friendly and helpful to the point of being invasive making me uncomfortable. The guides that they secured for me were very good.

Quiet, but central location just behind West Street. Friendly staff. On arrival we found many other hostels with slightly better deals - internet in rooms and free brekkie. But this probably due to the quiet time of year.

Clean, QUIET location (which can be hard to find in Yangshuo), value for money and very friendly, personal staff. Nothing was a problem here!
