Very well situated nearby the Muslim neighborhood, easy bus access and nice staff helpful with giving info and roomy private dble room too!

Right in the centre of town, but not much atmosphere at this place. But still good, clean facilities, with extra friendly, helpful staff.

This hostel is fantastic!! The staff are genuinely friendly and can't do enough to help you. Our dorm room was great value for money and the location is great - 10 min walk from the Muslim quarter, Bell Tower and Drum Tower. Inside the hostel is a great cafe, not cheap, but a really good place to relax and chill out. We were fortunate to be there on a Friday evening when the hostel has a dumpling party - and we learned to make Chinese dumplings. This is the best hostel we've stayed at in China!

We really enjoyed the one day tour to terracotta army museum we reserved from the hostel. We had a good car with air condition, ´fearless´ and good driver and nicest guide who told us everything we wanted to know.. and more! So big thanks to ´Snow´. Hope you´ll meet more people from Finland, and we´ll sure you will..

The atmosphere of this place was really great! I especially enjoyed the cafe on the 4th floor. It felt really homey and offered a lot of opportunities to talk with other travelers or just to relax. The DVD selection, free pool table, and Friday night dumpling making-party all really add to the charm of this place. The rooms were acceptably clean, though the bathrooms were a bit smelly. The beds and linens were very clean and comfortable. And on top of how friendly and fun this place is, its in an amazingly ideal location. Just a few minutes walk to the Drum and Bell towers and the Muslim district where you can eat and shop to your heart's content. I highly recommend this place for young and old travelers alike!

We stayed at Han tang Inn in April, and really enjoyed the hostel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My friend was sick, and she took her to the pharmacy to help her get medicine. Also their pizza is really good. we did the tour to terracotta warriors, which was great and not rushed.
The only thing I would not recommend is booking a yangze river tour with. Go on the river, but just don't book with Han Tang Inn. The guy they work with, John, of John's Cosy Nest, is a real scammer. We had signed up for the 4 day cruise, and when we arrived it had changed into a 2 day, 2 night cruise. Also he tacked on 30-100yuan commissions onto each thing separately : each tour the boat stopped at, each bus ticket, and each train ticket. I understand taking a commission but off each person he made about 200yuan or more in commisson

The staff at Han Tang are great! Super friendly and helpful. They help you to take the bus so you don't get stuck in the tourist traps. Great coffee and food. And Friday nights they have a free dumpling making party. I definitely recommend this hostel!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Travelled in winter and they had warm rooms and resturant/bar (rare in China). In middle of town.
