Liked: The bed was comfortable and was nice to have tv into the room!!

Disliked: Toilets a bit cold!!

Liked: We stayed in a 3 person room where we were given 2 double beds with an on-suite bathroom that were gorgeous. The place was clean, warm an very inviting. At just 10 minutes walk from the train station it made for easy transit.

Disliked: That I didn't stay longer.

Liked: It is a traditional Chinese architecture with modern room facilities and decoration. We were very impressed and enjoyed our stay there. The room was clean. Overall, the staff were overall helpful and friendly. There was no communication problem.

Disliked: The staff were not so enthusiastic in providing travel info for some attractions, instead they pushed to sell their package tour.

Liked: It was clean and comfortable. Staff were helpful and responsive when I needed to change the booking dates.

Liked: The hostel had a great look and atmosphere. The beds and rooms were nice, linens were great. The restaurant's Spicy Fries were yummy!

Disliked: I disliked the clear bathroom doors in the private(double) room. There was a noisy heater in my father's room. (One of the tour guides actually warned us about this as well). There was a problem with the wi-fi that day, maybe there were too many users in the restaurant.

Liked: It is a very unique, relaxing place. The rooms are very nice and clean. The staff tries to be very helpful, though English is limited.

Disliked: The breakfast is overpriced for what it is - room rates should include breakfast or at least tea. It is about 25-30 minutes walking to the city center and a bit hard to get a taxi, but pretty easy to get a ride from a tuk-tuk for about 20RMB. Less than 10rmb to city center in a taxi and also walkable in nice weather.

Liked: We stayed in a double room, which was a nice size and loved the courtyard atmosphere. Unfortunately the bathroom was really smelly, and difficult to keep the water in the shower area without a curtain (and no bath mat to mop it up afterwards). The table tennis area and courtyard around the bar were also really nice.

Disliked: Staff were very pushy about their Terracotta Warriors tour. Must have been asked at least 10 times in our first 10 minutes at the hostel! It's very easy and cheap to get their on the public bus, but they constantly try to push their tours. The Bathroom in our double room was really smelly, and not that nice, a shame as the room was lovely otherwise. The restaurant menu looked good, but the coffees were luke warm both times, and the food we tried was only okay. Lastly, very disappointing that they won't let you swap any books in the locked cabinet, even if you donate your own - given they were left behind by fellow travellers, it's a shame they have locked them away as 'theirs'.

Liked: The hostel is beautiful and atmospheric. The double rooms are spacious, clean and great value.

Disliked: The bar is a bit overpriced.

Liked: The hostel is amazing. The character of the place is unbeatable!

Disliked: The showers were not as hot as I would like and they were drafty- in summer probably wouldn't be a problem! Also the internet is ridiculously slow but these are just small issues.

Liked: The character of this property is what was most appealing to me and it was a great enviroment to meet new people in. Very happy with this stay would reccomend to anyone.

Disliked: The only dislike was the shower and toilet facilities, they were below average.

Liked: This was a very clean and exceptionally well decorated hostel.The staff could speak English fairly well and were also excellent salespeople.They were knowledgeable of the transportation systems and local attractions.

Disliked: It is about a 15 minute walk from the train station,but if you want to visit the bar street it is far south of the city walls near the Big Wild Goose Pagoda.It was a great location for everything else.You can take the local bus from the train station to see the warriors and you can visit the Da Ming Palace,which is north of the train station.

Liked: El sitio es maravilloso, me sorprendio muchisimo la habitación de matrimonio con baño privado, parece un hotel bueno jeje el bar esta muy bien, tanto de precio como de variedad de comidas. Esta cerca de la muralla y de la estación de autobus-tren

Disliked: Cuando llegue me dijeron que no podia pagar con tarjeta, pq el jefe no les dejaba, como lo ponia en la pagina web, me negue a pagar en efectivo, luego me dijeron que tenian la maquina rota, les dije que buscaran un remedio y no se como la maquina de la tarjeta se arreglo. Excepto por eso, todo genial En China es casi imposible pagar con tarjeta y te cobran mogollon en comision al sacar del cajero, 12€, asi que llevar cheques de viaje, asi no vais con el temor de que os roben tanta cantidad

Liked: Rooms were of a high standard, Food was good, the overall place was a sort of fusion between a Hostel and Hotel which may suit those looking for a higher standard of accommodation. Short walk from the train station as well...

Disliked: The Staff were unhelpful unless you were wanting to book on one of there overprice trips... Bar staff had little interest in serving you! It seemed the hotel was more catered for local tourists rather than backpackers. There was no clothes storage space in the room. It is quite a walk to the centre (bell tower) around 20-30mins Shame in a way as the hostel its self has a lovely setting and the rooms are of western standards

Disliked: - a bit out of the action but close enough to walk to the train station - the bathroom needs a good thorough clean - wifi only in the common areas

Liked: Everything! It's just great! The tranquility when I arrived is just what I was looking for. The arches look remarkable during day and night. The staff is so friendly they helped me with everything. Showers are great and hot and I mean ... hot! The common room or bar it wonderful. They have got wonderful couches to sit on and the food is delicious. And the walk to the center is not as far as people say. YOU HAVE TO STAY HERE WHEN YOU'RE IN XI'AN!

Disliked: I think the toilets can do with a bit more cleaning with some nice smelling stuff. But other then that it's just a wonderful place to stay!

Liked: Everything. The room was better than expected and we extended our stay. Good facilities and environment, good food and plays films in english and other languages. Staff were lovely and helped us to fined places and book over the phone and arrange tours

Disliked: the free pick up from the airport was just a girl who meets you and walks with you back to the hostel. although this was helpful as we would not have been able to find it easily by ourselves and she was very nice, we expected pick up by taxi or tuktuk or something and were a bit sad to have to carry our heavy backpacks for even longer.

Liked: It was a great hostel, with friendly staff and nice accomodations. You can sit outside in the sun but also in the restaurant (without ordering something).. And the comment about it being far away from the center, it is a 20 minutes walk so not that far!

Disliked: Uhm, I can't think of anything really. Yes, maybe the beds, the were hard but that's almost everywhere in China.

Liked: The hostel itself is very pretty & conveniently located for the train station.

Disliked: Lacked any atmosphere in bar although always full of people, might have something to do with the rubbish films they kept putting on. The room after a couple of days felt very damp & in 4 nights our towels weren't changed once. Would not recommend for the younger traveller looking for a lively hostel.
