Liked: Atmosphere, friendly staff, great location, good food served in the hostel (pizzas were excellent!), very helpful with questions. Would highly recommend this hostel.

Disliked: Nothing. I had a fantastic stay!

Liked: Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Bar and cafe/restaurant very good.

Disliked: Noise. But that is the fault of night-time revellers who don't know how to whisper. Also, the fire alarm went off early one morning and no-one seemed to do anything about it. Guests just had to rely on word of mouth that it was a false alarm.

Liked: I`ve seen quite a few hostels in Xian but this is by far the best one. Great homely atmosphere, amazing staff and perfect location. It`s right in the centre of town but yet perfectly quite as hidden by the City`s Wall. They taught us how to make to dumplings on my first night there and we all got to eat them free. The receptionists are the friendliest and most helpful people ever, they`ve a great bar on the basement if you`re into that sort of thing and a pretty and quiet lounge which I enjoyed the most. I`d definitely reccomend it!

Disliked: There`s anything to dislike really.

Liked: Very good location, clean rooms, free pick up from train station

Disliked: Staff at restaurant was a bit aggresive, demanding money first before they give you your order.

Liked: Facility was very nice except the mold in our room. The bar in the basement is great. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Disliked: Mold on the ceiling.

Liked: Nos encantó, es maravilloso.... la mejor carne que comí en China, pedimos un solomillo y el punto y la carne eran perfectos... estuvimos en un 3º piso y si que había ducha!!! ... la ubicación muy buena y conocimos mucha gente encantadora... el personal excelente.... las chicas del restaurante de lo mejor, todo limpio y un bar maravilloso, realmente recomendaríamos este sito a todos... GRACIAS POR TODO....LUPE, DIANA Y ALEJANDRA.

Disliked: todo excelente.... nada malo que decir... y sin duda lo mejor la comida!!! me comí un solomillo que ni en España... conocimos mucha gente y disfrutamos de una noche maravillosa en su bar... un sitio para visitar sin duda GRACIAS POR UNA ESTANCIA INOLVIDABLE.

Liked: The location was very good, the staff were very helpful and nice, the room was clean.

Disliked: It felt like it was a money making machine than a backpackers hostel. There was a big bar, quite noisy, very expensive, and people who were not staying in the hostel were using the bathrooms for the guests. The restaurant menu list was ver pricy too, nothing to do with the backpackers philosophy hostel.

Liked: Excellent bar and a superb place to meet other travellers.

Disliked: If you stay on the 3rd floor, you need to go down to the 2nd floor to use the toilet/shower.

Liked: VERY friendly staff, lovely courtyards, good food, dumpling making party, attention to detail, great basement bar.

Disliked: Everything was good.

Liked: The atmosphere was really good. Especially in the bar. The bar istypical Chinese, because next to the backpackers, the locals are coming to this place as well.

Disliked: They didn't clean that good. They were just standing there with the mobile phones.

Liked: All the conditions are good enough, ex. eviornment, facilities, is fill of Chinese traditional culture.

Disliked: The staffs on reception are cheerless. and during our living, the bar underground are so nosy until midnight everyday, the gests of bar ever can coming into the yard of hostel, made us so hard to get sleep! What's more, the supply of hot water is too early to over,not convenient.

Liked: I liked that it was a joingin of several old(ish) courtyard houses (that had been rennovated). I liked the tours and the staff and the location. I also liked the pet dog and cat. Plus they have a killer bar in the basement (if you like lots of westerners and a Chinese band playing western cover musing between beatboxing).

Disliked: Some of the food was cold (particularly the fried breakfast).

Liked: The staff were very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the dumpling party - a fun activity, good way to meet other travellers, and a free and tasty meal! The hostel is right by the city wall, and very close to useful bus stops. It's walking distance to the Muslim quarter, drum and bell towers and lots of shops and restaurants. There's a nice cafe with cheap beer, and a proper bar downstairs which was good and lively.

Disliked: Rooms are mostly around outside courtyards, so you have to go outside to get to the bathroom - not great when it's raining. The bar is good but loud - didn't bother us but it could be a problem if you're a light sleeper on the lower floors. As with a lot of hostels in China, the food and drinks are a little expensive compared to local shops and restaurants, but not the worst we've stayed at. Overall it's a really good hostel and we'd happily stay here again.

Disliked: Can be a little loud in the room, laundry was expensive.

Liked: Hostel is really nice, the staff is so friendly and helpful. Rooms are very clean. Great atmosphere, good pub in basement. Perfect place for people who wants to meet other people.

Liked: Great common areas, but dorm rooms are pretty dismal.

Disliked: Our room lacked a key so we had to leave the door open, including at night when we were all eaten by mosquito. Staff was very friendly but generally unhelpful.
