Liked: A wonderful place to stay! One of the best so far in China. Our room was very comfortable and clean (although the smell of cooking often wafted in through the bathroom). There is a great bar (often busy) and just about all the tours you need to book are available. Friendly and helpful staff too!

Liked: Excellent location. Cheap and good trips to main Xian ancient settlements (Terracot Warriors, Banpo, Tombs...). The most helpfull staff I met in China (they help me quite good to get train tickets). Aweson bar with music and novies. Nice mixed of chinese travellers and foreigners.

Liked: A lovely building and in an excellent location too. The rooms were spotless and the lounge has some really comfy sofas to relax in. However, the communal toilet and shower facilities could do with cleaning a bit more often and the food and drinks at the bar and restaurant were well overpriced in terms of Chinese hostels. Likewise, I was disappointed to find out that me and my girlfriend would not be able to sleep in a mixed dormitory together with me as she is Chinese. This seemed like an unfair rule seeing as foreign girls are allowed to sleep in mixed dorms. Furthermore, it cost her twice as much to stay in an all-girl dormitory which was no different to the other rooms...

Liked: Great location by south gate, close to everywhere.organized great tours "sunny" was our tour guide, very sweet! Great looking hostel for the price better than any hotel, and the rooms were very clean and very quiet.Excellent choice for a stay,carn't wait to go back!

Liked: Let's face it - this place is cheap as chips, and much better than "value for money". They rang us a couple of days in advance to see if we needed to be picked up. they accommodated us when they could. the charm of the place is great. Really comfy. All the writing on the walls gives it that real backpackers vibe. The rooms were really clean. The shared toilets could have been a little cleaner, but that's fades when you think of 24 hr reception - fab. laundry -fab. Western breakfast - double fab.

Liked: Very nice hostel, cozy, chinese style. Had bike rentals which was very convenient to explore the city. Great location, near bus stop and the bar district. Staff was very nice. Overall enjoyed the stay.

Liked: This hostel is extremely good value for money. It is a good place to meet and socialise with other people and the food is exceptional with a wide range of local and western dishes. The staff are helpful and friendly and the hostel offers decent tours to the local sights.

Liked: As long as you don't get Room 207, 307 or 308 it is ok to stay in the Block above the Restaurant. Those three Rooms are quite noisy when you open the window and the AC is not working properly, so that it gets very hot inside the room. We had to change our room twice, because we first stayed in 308, than in a room in the "B Block" which was extremly damp, but after that we could change to a room with an outside window which was very nice. The staff was very helpful and did their best to find a room for us.

Liked: I love the decoration and the fact thar the room was very clean.However the public toillets smelled a bit...The staff was helpfull and friendly.Defenetly the best hostel I've been until now.

Liked: This hostel is excellent to experience China. The staff are all very helpful and friendly and speak excellent English. While in Xian I had my wallet stolen from my backpack. The hostel were extremely helpful and went out of their way to help me through the police reporting procedures. I would highly recommend this hostel and facilities and staff to anyone wishing to stay in Xian.
