Liked: Location is great. Really close to the train and bus station, and REALLY close to the coach station. The staff are very helpful.

Disliked: Nothing to dislike.

Liked: There were blood in the toilets and in the shower. Dirtyness is alright, but blood is not acceptable. Looked like the bathroom hasn't been cleaned for more a month.

Liked: The location is the only good thing about this hostel.

Disliked: I'm not a huge fan of blood, so having the surprise to find some on the bathroom floor and in the shower, not so good. This is definitely the dirtiest bathroom I've seen, they probably haven't been cleaned for a month (dirty, stinky). The staff is also pretty bad, do not really speak english, and is not really reliable.

Liked: Location next train station - ONLY thing good about thishostel!

Disliked: painfully slow staff poor common area- just hotel lobby DID NOT CLEAN TOILETS FOR 24 HOURS - POO COVERED SEATS AND BLOOD ON SHOWER HANDLE!!! WHEN 4 STAFF SAT AROUND DOING NOTHING ON EACH FLOOR

Liked: Only good thing is its proximity to the train station after a sleepless hard seat journey. The english speaking staff were reasonably friendly, others not so.

Disliked: The room was dirty - carpet on floors that hadn't been vaccumed for too long, bathroom unclean. Even when we asked for our bathroom to be recleaned this was not done (or else they missed the obvious mess on the toilet seat for the second time..).

Liked: Good for price and closeness to railway station.

Disliked: Not the cleanest place nor with the friendliest staff. Did not reply to emails regarding the supposedly free pickup service they offer from the railway station.

Liked: the hostel itself was quite good. A bit run down but had everything that you needed and the staff were helpful. The restaurant served nice food although westerners paid four times that of native chinese, still it was cheap and very tasty.

Liked: The staff were incredible; without their constant efforts i would never have been able to arrange my onward trip to Tibet, and they were all simply so friendly and so helpful that i was a little sad to leave.
