Searching for a great place to stay in Shanghai ~ the pearl of the orient, the Paris of the east, city of dreams and adventure? Then look no further than Shanghai City Central Youth Hostel!
A la carte breakfast is provided from 7:30am to 12:00 noon, while there is a FREE buffet breakfast from 7:30am to 9:30am.

Location:
Although our hostel is a little far from the historical centre of Shanghai, just under 7km. away from People’s Square, we are conveniently located right next to the Caoyang Road metro station, which provides excellent access to navigate the city very easily. The subway is open from 5:35am until 22:43pm, so if late at night you will have to take a taxi to return (around 3 euros). Our guests have commented, “The location of this hostel is not the best, but once you initially find it the journey to and from gets easier!”

We have a variety of comfortable, clean rooms including en-suites, doubles, singles, and 4/6 bed dormitories with air conditioning in each of the 150 rooms.

We have excellent facilities and our services are of a high standard. Within a very short period we have become widely regarded as one of the best hostels and have gained an excellent reputation with our guests from all over the world.

Near the hostel, there is a 24-hour supermarket, bar, coffee lounge, ATM, IC/IP phones. There is also KFC, McDonalds, Carrefour, banks and post office.

We are sure that you will find that our rooms’ size and standard is more than ample for the price. Enter via the large, clean lobby and playing inviting music, and note that our bar / dining rooms are well presented. Although we are not located in a tourist area, there is a metro so close and cheap, thus you can avoid the tourist traps and crowds.

FROM SHANGHAI RAILWAY STATION:
When you exit Shanghai railway station (from the South-east exit), please take Metro Line 3 or 4 (in the direction of Zhongshan Park) to Caoyang Road. Leave through EXIT 6 and walk down along the small street besides the station to the Wuning Road intersection. Cross Wuning Road, turn right, and after 20 meters you will see No 300 and a sign with our name. Walk inside and you will see our hostel right there.

Notice: the subway is available from 6:30am to 11:30pm. If you want to take a taxi from Shanghai Railway Station, you should catch the taxi from the underground taxi station, costing 18RMB to our hostel. Please ensure that you take a registered taxi and that the driver turns the meter on for your journey.
