Really unfair to call this place a hostel. Was excellent. I am not sure how expensive it was to others but it is in a great spot for exploring shanghai, right beside marriot it is easy to fine. Be careful of all the scams out front ll around the park. Only two internet computers which meant you had to wait for a while. Staff were really helpful writing directions in Mandarin for the Taxi drivers. We ahd the double and it was much better than most hotels large room with queen siz bed. Shard bathroom is only with two other rooms so you never had to wait for anything. I would not stay anywhere else in shanghai. Also the black pepper beef rice is amazing. So happy with the place. I am not in anyway affiliated with the hostel.

The hanging out area was very relax and showing movies every night. You could also get a very good breakfast buffet for very cheap every morning. The location was just fantastic, right in the middle of the city within walking disance of pretty much every attraction! We had a very pleasant stay and would definitely recommend it to anybody lookig for a lace to stay in Shanghai!

Fantastic location - 1 minute to the main shopping street, very helpful staff. No fuss transaction. Clean room, hot shower, clear toilet. Very quiet at night. Will stay again next time I am in Shanghai.

Staff were pleasant and helpful. Nice chilled-out atmosphere in Bar/Internet surfing area. Amazingly quiet and peaceful, yet so close to the hustle and bustle of the surroundings of People's Square. Liked the wired internet availability in rooms.

I loved the old architecture and attention to historic detail. The rooms while small were clean and comfortable, and the courtyard area housed a nice bar and restaurant that were very relaxing.
