Liked: Very well located near Nanjing road and the Bund. Only few minutes walk from the nearest subway station (Nanjing road East).

Liked: it was very close to downtown(nanjing road) and the bund. I liked that the bathroom was clean even though it was shared. also, cheap price was satisfied.

Liked: Excelent location: less then 10 minutes from Bund, Nanjing Rd and subwaystation plus busstop 2 min: for Railwaystation, old city and Nanpubridge. Coffee (machine) though is lousy I am afraid.Harry

Liked: I like the character and the central location. The room was clean and big enough. There are nice restaurants nearby. You could use a kitchen and a refridgerator.

Liked: I liked the location, the location and the location ! The atmosphere was also very nice and the people very friendly at the reception. The rooms were big and comfortable but the bathrooms were a bit old. And I regret that they don't have a travel agency within the hotel. I would certainly recommend this hostel to other travellers.

Liked: a nice alternative to hotels if you're looking for a private room - deluxe room was very nicley done and bigger than most hotel rooms, definitly a bargain

Liked: There was wireless Internet, and electricity, in the rooms :) Good place to meet new people. Not expensive. Very nice area of Shanghai with lots of yummy street food. Safe and clean. I truly recommend.

Liked: The staff at reception are incredibly friendly and the place has a very vibrant atmosphere. The lounge and bar downstairs are excellent for just chilling out and there are three computers that you can use to check your emails (although the connection isn't great at times!) Pool table for when you have nothing better to do and you can watch DVD's or play playstation if you really have to! Food here is also cheap which makes a change from most hostels - so if you are too lazy to go out for a meal then you can always eat in. The rooms are basic but clean - and have lockers and reading lights. Likewise, the washrooms are also very clean and there are plenty of showers to go around with hot water! There is a good crowd of travellers here all year around and the location is excellent - 5 minute walk away from the metro and not far from the train station either - to be honest there is nothing I can find to complain about... this is my second stay here and I would definitely recommend it to somebody looking for budget accommodation.
