Liked: Room were good size and beds comfortable. There was a lively bar atmosphere and people. The showers could have been cleaner as well as the Toilet.

Liked: good choice of place to stay, as with most hostels in China the accommodation is pretty cheap esp for a dorm, but they make up for that with the relatively high price for the food.I would quite happily recommend this hostel

Liked: The atmosphere was great and there was plenty of opportunities to meet new people if you were travelling alone. The common area was very comfortable with both the beer and food being very good value for money. It was quite strange having no windows in the room but the room itself was comfortable and clean. Lockers were supplied too to keep your belongings safe. Didn't use the kitchen but it looked well stocked and the bathrooms were clean. The staff couldn't do enough for you! Very friendly and helpful. Just what you need when you're new to Shanghai! I'd recommend to anybody.

Liked: Reasonably close to the Sanlitun bar area (Boss Club is good). Short walk to the subway, or I recommend hiring one of the bikes. Food and drinks at the hostel are tasty and well-priced.

Liked: Good atmosphere in the communal area with pool table and lively bar, perfect for meeting other travellers. Our room was very clean, with fresh white sheets and towels. The breakfasts and laundry were very good value as well,would definitely recommend this place!

Liked: A great place to stay in Shanghai. It's a few blocks from the subway and and short walk to the Bund, so I'd say it's a pretty good location. Mingtown has a relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. I would recommend it.
