Liked: Great location! less than 10minutes' walk to the Bund (uber-famous riverside), local feel, great ambience. Good value for money, all things considered.

Disliked: Despite quiet hours and a posted curfew (02h00), nighttime noise in the corridors resonated into all the rooms,

Liked: Its location.

Disliked: The arrogance of the staff. I booked a twin room but was given a double, with the take-it-or-leave-it attitude from the desk. One of the young male staff was extremely unfriendly when checking us in.

Liked: We stayed in a private twin with ensuite. The room was big enough and the bathroom was nice.The location was great because it is close to the Bund, Nanjing Street and 2 subway lines. There are a couple of good stores close by to buy snacks and fruit .

Disliked: Only one computer was available and most of the time the internet didn't work. The hallways are always dark. The food was not great and service in the restaruant was poor. Staff couldn't tell us where most things were. It would be helpful if they had info on the city tour bus and subway maps.

Liked: The downstairs bar area was nice to relax if you want to get out of the hustle and bustle of the city

Disliked: The staff were not very helpful at all everything is so much if an effort for them. Also at 11pm one night a member if staff walked straight into our room and turned the light on waking everyone up. For sone reason they fold your blankets everyday this is just annoying as if your on the top bunk the bed gets really dirty date the cleaners stand on it with dirty feet, they should just leave them until check out. The bar is nice but expensive

Liked: The location is excellent. Very close to the bund the metro and Nanjing road. The small restaurants around the hostel were very good cheap and delicious food. Laundry is fantastic they have a dryer.

Disliked: Almost no common area. There is a small patio on the street but it's really loud. There's only one computer for Internet access and it was broken some of the time. The wifi also wasn't great. The restaurant was expensive.

Liked: The location of the place.

Disliked: The unfriendliness of the staff made me feel unwelcome to this place; the staff knew very little about the city or did not bother trying to find answers to my questions; I was offered a more expensive room than the one I had booked initially; staff seemed to not want to be working with travellers.

Liked: really good location and amazingly clean. the most upmarket communal bathrooms i've ever seen, made it feel more like a boutique hotel.

Liked: Ended up with the luxury room as that was the only available, but it was very nice and very value for money, especially considering location (5 min walk to metro and the Bund) and the city

Disliked: Only complaint was that the power went off the day i checked out, dont know how long it was out. I was fine cuz i had windows but someone in the other room told me she didnt have windows and ended up in the dark

Liked: The male members of staff were excellent. they were so helpful and spoke very good english. We did not find the female memebers of staff as helpful. At times we felt they didnt really want us there! We stayed in a dorm on the first night and then moved into a double room shared bathroom. Both were fine very clean. Food was good but not exactly service with a smile!

Disliked: Some problems with the air conditioning which a lot of people seemed to complain about at the front desk. The air conditioning would go off most nights around the same time every night and would be hard to start again.

Liked: it's very clean and quiet. sufficient shower booths and essential stuffs such as hair dryers and fridges. and it's quite close to many attractions.

Disliked: no free map...

Liked: We stayed in Twin Ensuite and the room had plenty of space and it seemed to be lately renovated. You were able to do your loundry for free and also there was small common "kitchen" with fridge and micro to use.

Disliked: As many other property also this one had so thin windows that all the noises from street came up. The worst times were during the evening when people were still sitting outside and talking loudly and in the morning when the traffic started again.
