Liked: Excellent location of this hostel made for a really great stay in Shanghai, as the hostel is so close to the Bund and other major tourist sites. Th desk staff were always extremely helpful and had a good understanding of English which proved very helpful for us. Rooms were very well appointed and our en suite bathroom was above expectations. Try the street vendor in the side lane next to the hostel for a great cheap breakfast.

Disliked: Beds were very hard even though I know this is a comon trait of beds throughout China.

Liked: This place was really nice. It was clean, really nice staff, and had a great bar/hang out area. I ended up meeting a bunch of great people, and will stay here next time I'm in Shanghai.

Disliked: The doom rooms were a bit small, but then I didn't come here to sit in my room.

Liked: The property was perfect! beds are done everyday, the floor-showers are always clean! it's the cleanest guesthouse I ever sleep in!

Liked: Breakfast in not included but available by cost and was very good

Disliked: towels were terrible gray so I didn't dare to wipe myself. The smell in the room was disgusting. All furniture looks very old

Liked: Good bathrooms, clean bedding

Disliked: Was staying in a room near the bathroom area which gets noisy in the morning. Not a place to meet other travelers and restaurant serves food at tourist prices.

Liked: Friendly and helpfull staff, nice enough location. Clean rooms and fun atmosphere.

Disliked: Not many other hikers make initial contact, unless you sleep in a dorm. I guess that's a drawback of a larger hostel.

Liked: clean, good staff,big room , like 3 star hotel.

Disliked: A bit far from subway station. No convenience store near hostel. At late night, can't find any place to eat near the hostel.

Liked: Walk 10 mins to a nearby metro station.

Disliked: The cell phone or WIFI can not be connected on the 2nd or 3rd floor, but only in the first floor.

Liked: Relatively easy to find. Good access to the tube.

Liked: Perfect location, close to everywhere. Warm inside and especially in the rooms. Very clean toilets and showers.

Disliked: Internet not available in the rooms, but that's just a minor problem.

Liked: The location was great, being right next to the Bund. The rooms and bathrooms were clean. There was a place to store a small bag. The staff was also very friendly.

Disliked: The wireless internet was down the night I stayed.

Disliked: The restaurant is really slow....we had to wait 20 min. for a coffee and the breakfast was not so good the first day. We asked for more bread and nothing! "Salad fruit" was only half banana (???!!!). But the staying was good.

Liked: It was very clean. Location close to the Bund.

Disliked: Internet hardly ever worked. Reception staff were rude and provided unreliable tourist information. Basic dorms do not have windows, which is not stated on hostelbookers. Awful nights sleep due to other guests in our dorm, one came in gone midnight and the other at nearly five in the morning. They both switched main light on. Generally, a very noisy hostel. If you want a good nights sleep then don't come to this hostel.

Liked: Excellent single luxury room and dorms are not too bad either (I have stayed in both rooms, 2 nights each). Very clean rooms (hostel standards) and the location is absolutely amazing.

Disliked: While the rooms may be clean and the sheets smell clean, I can't say the same of the staircase or the corridors. The noise isolation between the rooms could be better.
