Liked: Location is very handy being so close to the Bund and Nanjing Lu. I like the air conditioned room and the beds were comfortable. Didn't try the menu but their seemed to be quite a lot of food on offer.

Disliked: I read the comments before about the wifi being unreliable but I thought that by the time I arrived it would all be resolved. But it wasn't. It dropped out many times, and even after it was "fixed" it was a very poor connection. I know it's just a minor detail but it was quite important, especially if all you want to do is let family and friends know you arrived safely or if you want to do some online banking. Very frustrating, although not a deal breaker. I would stay there again, but I hope they manage to fix up the wifi properly.

Liked: Couldn't have asked for a better hostel. Good price, real matresses, good showers, fantastic location.

Liked: This hotel is a renovated traditional chinese house. I could enjoy both chinese traditional interior and comfort of newly renovated room. They nicely renovated a traditional chinese house, therefore, after all, it is new and very comfortable!! The room was prettily decorated in a traditional chinese fashion. The bathroom is modern and equiped with the latest faciliies, so it is very clean and I took shower very comfortably (of course you don't need beach sandals). The location is splended. It is in the heart of traditional historical area. The river which is just in front of the hostel is beautifully lit up in the evening, and you can enjoy the atomosphere in the evening.

Disliked: The internet was not working preperly.

Liked: The Dorms are fine. Nothing bad to say about it. In the Hostel is it easy to meet other travellers in the lobby. Bathroom is nice and clean. Internet connection is good.

Disliked: Nothing

Liked: Great location.

Disliked: There was no hot water at 5am in the morning.

Liked: The hostel location is very good, it's just few minutes walk from the centre and the bund, so you can easily access all the must-see places of the city. The atmosphere is very relaxed, and it's easy to have a friendly talk with other travellers.

Disliked: There was a skinny sick kitten running in the leaving room, but if you're not afraid of cats that's not a real problem. The only thing we didn't like so much was the continuous noise of car horns at night. Anyway, this is Shanghai, so it's impossible to avoid that.

Liked: The property was interesting and the people were nice. We had a good time there. They were helpful in giving directions.

Liked: very clean, great hang out area to meet other travelers, showers were hot with great pressure

Disliked: internet SUCKED - both wifi and computers. Bed were not the best

Liked: Location was great. Friendly staff,big spacious rooms, clean, they change the towels daily, spacious rooms, good clean showers,I would stay again.helped us get a cab at a really early hour of the morning (and we did and have in the past - 3 years ago)

Disliked: The room was abit smelly, had a strong chemical smell to it. 3 rooms that we were shown smelled like that. One room where a friend of ours stayed (it has no toilet) but it didnt smell like that. It was just a really bizzare smell we thought of buying a scented candle and then leaving it for the person

Disliked: I had booked a dorm with window but it was not available at check-in. I had to sleep a dorm without window. But it was OK too.

Liked: The location is really handy for sightseeing. The bar area is a really nice place to relax / meet people. The facilities were always really clean.

Disliked: No window in room (the cheapest dorm)

Disliked: The food in the hostel is not that great and quite expensive, but there are lots of places to go around the hostel

Liked: It's really clean, and very well situated. Also a good place to meet people, since other travellers are friendly.

Disliked: The room was a bit noisy since it had a windodow on the street.

Liked: Rooms are comfortable and location is great.

Disliked: The restaurant closes at 9:00 pm but don't expect to be served if you don't order prior to 8:30 pm which is quite early. And don't expect to have diner anywhere else around at that time.

Liked: Great staff, very helpful. A very good location, close to the bund and the metro station, yet quiet and outside the "tourists zone".

Disliked: A little bit dirty in the corridor.
