Liked: It was a very reasonable rate in a very convenient part of Shanghai that also felt secure.

Disliked: Having to pay 1 Yuen a minute to use the phone.

Liked: i have stayed at this hostel every time i've come to shanghai. The location is great and the lounge has a great atmosphere.

Liked: Great location and wonderful staff!! I stayed in a double bed ensuite and it was big and spacious! It was also safe and required key access which gave me added comfort. You also get an actual toilet bowl, which is a luxury in China, given most washrooms are holes in the ground!

Disliked: There was a smell from the washroom and the bed was quite damp at first, but you get used to it quickly. It gets better once the A/C is running (all power and A/C is turned off when you are not in the room to conserve energy!).

Liked: Nice and clean, pretty good location, nice hot showers with plenty of them lockers in room

Disliked: better atmosphere in a bin! food is expensive with not a lot to choose from, and are closed at lunch time! Also i dont really blame people for not going in there, because the music they play in there wants you to either go to sleep or just die. Also when it says it is away from noisy roads, it actualy means it is next to a place where there are constant sounds of what i think must be an elevator going up and down (bring earplugs or drink a lot before bed time) other quick points , air conditioning was non existent wifi didnt work in rooms as stated their idea of helping travel arrangements is actually to just send you off to a hotel a few blocks away and ask them instead

Disliked: We had reserved a double room with bathroom and we obtained a room with common bathroom for three rooms. The mattress of the bed looked like a board. We thus left the establishment on the19.08 in the morning and lived in a close hotel.

Liked: Location, very close to everything important in Shanghai. Clean of the rooms

Disliked: Should have some more showers, because for 20 rooms I think it's not enough. Even, is a minor thing.

Disliked: This hostel has bad surroundings. Always, it smelled bad. But hostel is very clean.

Liked: Very clean, nice people, resaonable price!

Disliked: bit smelly outside of street. but it can be stand it! too many stairs to go up cuz the rooms are on the 3rd floor. (so if u have heavy bag, probably bit hard) Last thing! Wifi is toooooooooooooooooo slow! <- That's only thing i do not like!

Liked: Friendly, good location. Previous comments complained about the wifi, but I found it to be very good. Perhaps those people were just there at a time when the internet censors were particularly active; this kind of thing is very unpredictable in China.

Disliked: Staff members came in at night when we were sleeping and turned on the big overhead light, I guess to see how many beds were free. Then at 1am some new guests came in and also turned on the light while they got ready for bed. I found this very rude and inconsiderate, especially since there were small reading lamps over each bed that they could have used.

Liked: great location and the stuff was very nice and helpful

Disliked: they rooms were located 3rd floor up and they didn't have an elevator. this normally wouldn't be a problem, just, had a lot of heavy luggage and carrying it up three floors was very annoying and exhausting

Liked: Directly at People's Square in the heart of Shanghai. Very convinient for partying and going out. Nice matresses - not always usual in China

Disliked: Rooms are not the biggest around but I guess room is real money in Shanghai so it is not a problem at all.

Liked: room is very clean and location is closed at 人民广场。so very convinience to move anywhere.

Disliked: bathroom cleanning time is late, so dirty in morning.

Liked: Good location, easy to access to Nanjing road and the bund and resonable rate.

Disliked: The hostel was very hot in summer, did not turn the air con during the day time with safe energy policy maybe. We paid for the service so we expected to get those services, you could not sleep inside the room at daytime cause very hot and the bad thing is the dorm rooms have no window, air con and ventilation were not working properly. Outside the hostel is the smelly fresh market selling meat and vegetables.

Liked: the location is good to access....

Disliked: the room has no window and narrow.....no good air conditioner...quite hot but the hotel provide the big blanket....for spring night!!!!!
