Liked: Great feel to the hostel, very spacious with pool table and ping pong downstairs. Really good breakfast buffet. Helpful staff. Double bedroom with private bathroom was a very good standard.

Disliked: WIFI did not always work, was down in the evenings.

Liked: Great location. 10 mins walk from Jian An Temple Metro Station. Quiet and nice food around. Decoration in lobby, sitting room, roofbar is good, vintage and cosy. Though Room is a bit small, it is tidy and clean. But don't expect the sheet and towels will be changed.

Disliked: One of the staff was trying to be helpful yet he wasn't. He didn't know how to get to Expo Park and where we can find some nice local food. Internet access was not working during our stay. The AC is a bit smelly and the pillow is flat. Only refilled 1 little roll of toilet paper.

Liked: The rooms and bathrooms were very clean.

Disliked: The wireless was not working when we stayed there, but we were told that was just a temporary problem.

Liked: Great place to stay, probably the best of the four hostels I have stayed at in Shanghai over the years. Lots of room with a large recreation area, rooftop bar with reasonable beer prices, friendly front of house staff who speak excellent English. There is generally two people on the front desk which makes for a fast check-in and check-out . The 30 rmb breakfast is good value. The Hostel is only 10 minutes from the subway and a 15 minutes walk to the bars/nightclubs streets if that is your scene. Two good DVD stores in the street. Tesco supermarket 15 minutes walk Just be careful when looking for the hostel, the sign in the steet is above eye level, I walked past it twice before I found it, my mistake because I never take notice of street numbers! You then walk 80 metres down a lane to the hostel Overall I could not fault it during my three day stay

Liked: The hostel was near central area u just need to walk 10 minutes.

Disliked: Please be carefull around city and hostel some ladies trying to cheat you while they say they are massager.And be carefull there are other guys who are teking all your money.......

Liked: location is central shanghai, easy to take the metro anywhere, lots of space in the hostel, nice character, friendly staff. :)

Liked: The atmosphere was good, great facilities, free wifi and computers, spacious and clean rooms, clean bathrooms and toilets, massive personal lockers. It's an all round good hostel, I'd recommend this hostel!

Disliked: A little bit far from the nearest metro and the wifi sometimes slows way down. It can also be pretty noisy if you're on the ground floor but this is more the people staying there (although the staff could enforce the 'quiet after 12am' rule a bit better!)

Liked: Helpful and friendly staff, they speak very good english. The place is nice, lot of space, quiet, clean. Metro line 2 is at 10min walk, bring you directly to the main touristic area in a few minutes.

Disliked: I don't have anything bad to say about this hostel, except that if you want to be closer to the main touristic area, you might prefer to look for a hostel closer to the Bund.

Liked: Nothing to enjoy. Very average hostel. It's good, but nothing special either. You can play pool and table tennis there. Small but comfy lobby with wifi.

Disliked: Nothing to complain about. Maybe a bit too far from metro station, but the district is nice

Liked: Great location, near People square. Great staff, 24hr reception, good English spoken. Good dorm rooms, a bit room, so avoir around winter time.

Liked: One of us has stayed at this hostel before and was very satisfied then also. It has a good location near both metro and airport bus station. The room was good, the staff very helpful and good access to computers. Good wifi.

Disliked: The menu at the roof top bar could be better.
