it's close to the metro line, it has many cheap restaurants nearby, the staff is extremely friendly and everyone is more than willing to help. though it's not in the center of Shanghai, it's in the "Real" China, without all the tourist vendors.

i have nothing but praise for this hostel. spotlessly clean, great recreation rooms, friendly and very helpful staff, good cheap breakfast. a little further out than i realised but accessible by the metro.

Staff are extremely helpful with decent English, it is very modern and clean, rooms are good, as are bathrooms. I found it very social. Location isn't bad as it's only 5 minutes walk to the metro station and only one stop on the metro to a huge Carrefour supermarket.

I liked everything about our stay. If I could have stayed longer, I would have taken advantage of the cooking and laundry facililties, the TV room, and made some friends. The staff was very helpful and cheerful about it!

The location is great, the atmosphere is pleasant and the staff is extremely nice and helpful. The staff truly is spectacularly good.

If you want to see authentic china about you - this is the place
If you want to be very central and near modern shops - it is not
but the old china is going fast so take the advantage of seeing what its really like for many of the people of China

This hostel was ok, it was very clean and had a lot of amenities but not much of a vibe. Good place to stay if you're out and about in Shanghai most of the time. The staff are lovely but english is not a strong point. Really clean kitchen and laundry facilities, if a little expensive...it's a bit out of the way of the Pudong (central Shanghai) area but ok as its near the subway...always seemed quite far for the taxi drivers !

it's a clean and warm place with a friendly staff. the location is not great but convenient with subway and taxis.

The staff at the reception was very friendly and helpfully, their English was very well. Business card sized fold-up maps with a metro plan were provided at the reception. The metro planunhandli was a useful vade mecum during our stay in Shanghai. Our twin bed room was clean and included a big new bathroom with window.

The rooms are very cleaning, including bathrooms. Good laundry service, but breakfast (not included) could be better.

The staff at this hostel were amazing- so friendly and helpful interms of how to get around and what to see while our stay in Shanghai. Not to mention the place was very clean.

The staff were excellent. They were very helpful and polite including the security guard who was there when I checked out. He was so considerate in trying to help me get a taxi even though he didn't speak a word of English.
Also, this hostel is spotless. It's super clean.

We stayed in a twin private and the room was very spacious with a massive ensuite as well. Almost hotel standard. The staff gave great advice and it felt really safe and well-run.

Sorry my english isen`t the best so i keep it short!!!
We stayed there for 10 days and it was perfect!!!
clean rooms, friendly stuff very good location in my opinon,,, not in the center of shanghai but very intressting located...and of course only few minuts away from the subway......my and my girlfrind had a wonderful time in shanghai and in le tour shanghai youthhostel mfg matthias u. kerstin
