Any trip to Pingyao should include a visit to the Ri Shengchang Financial House Museum and a stay at the Tian Yuan Kui Guesthouse. The Tian Yuan Kui Guesthouse, which is in the heart of the old city, was built in 1791. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties it was a prominent area enjoying an economic boom, and it is popular again today. It consists of forecourt, backyard, information house, attics, and shops. It was invested to remedy, and resumed the style and features of Ming & Qing Dynasty period. It sets an example of folk-custom and folkway by its primitive simplicity and unique features.

Five main components form the residence's tranquil interior. The two spacious lobbies also function as restaurant where you can taste the special dish in Pingayo and western food.The lobby and the guest rooms richly decorated, five separated courtyards full of plants and spring-time flowers are on both sides of the courtyard in Spring,Summer and Autumn. and an extensive entertainment area that features movies, musical instruments, and a big-screen TV for play the DVD and VCD.You heard the film(Raise the red lantern) that filmed by Mr Zhang yimou in Qiao Family Courtyard.We can play the VCD for you.It is free.From this film ,you will understand the chinese rich family during ancient dynaste.It is worth to see.
There is both Western & Chinese menu. There are traditional Chinese foods , many kinds of western-style foods to satisfy guests' different demands and the Pingyao style desserts. The guesthouse provides traditional snacks at reasonable prices. The hotel provides 108 snacks and many kinds of western cuisine.If you want to study to make the chinese food ,the cook will be glad to teach you that how you cook by yourself until you get it .

Because Pingyao is a small and old city, there aren't many places for travelers to access the Internet. We invite all travelers, whether or not you are staying at our hotel, to use our computers to send emails to their friends and family and surf the web ,copy cd(music,and picture.the owner has many chinese music for you).Every room with the internet access(no charge,100Mbps).
We also invite all travelers to come and dine in our beautiful restaurant. We proudly serve traditional Pingyao dishes such as Braised beef in Pingyao Style and local special noodle with the sauce etc.
All staff can speak good english ,they can try their best to help you solve the problem for you during your visiting in Pingyao.It is no charge of picking service from Pingyao train station and bus station by the car. We can offer many services what you need.
The guesthouse is located at the Ming & Qing Street ,also known as Nan Da Jie (The center of The Pingyao Ancient City). There are many important sites and interesting places arround the Tian Yuan Kui Guesthouse.You can explore them by feet.If you need the taxi ,we would like to arrange it for you.

Something that you may or may not already know...
Pingyao is a very small, ancient town. Because of this, it is impossible to book hard or soft sleeper train tickets at the Pingyao Railway Station less than7 days in advanced if you plan to book yourself. Train tickets from Pingyao to other cities such as Xi'an, Beijing, and Shanghai must be booked from the nearest large city, Jie xiu and Taiyuan. The Tian Yuan Kui Geusthouse can assist you in booking your train tickets from Pingyao to the destination of your choice.
