 Very very friendly and helpful staff. The common room was great. There is a pool table and a few games. Great location and nice rooms.

The staff were great. Bob and his team wer so helpful and really looked after us individually during oour whole stay. Best service we had so far in China !

I liked the location, city, people running it were way beyond belief in how much they assisted me in making my stay more than I first imagined.

The whole picture I think....Room was lovely, staff very kind and good, hostel had this wonderfull admosfere. Very cosy, pooltable and nice bar. WIFI in the rooms and restaurant. Which I think gets more and more important for travellers these days. Only be prepared for powercuts but that is not only at this hostel. It is all over the old town of beautiful Ping Yao.

I think that this was one of my favorite hostels of all time!! I loved everything. The room was great, the restaurant great, the staff amazing, value for money awesome. There was free internet, they took me to the train station for free and really went out of their way to make sure I was happy with everything. I wish all hostels were like Zhengjia!!!!! I would recommend in a heartbeat.

The owner and his family go out of their way to make guests feel at ease. Almost all staff members speak fluent English. Rooms are clean with very comfortable beds and plenty of electrical outlets to charge all your electronic stuff; free Internet; free pick-up and drop-off service at train and bus stations; good food and drink menu at restaurant/lounge (even has a pool table!).

good location good chineese and western food, incredible atmosphere!!!!STAFF NO SPEAK ENGLISH FLUENTLY, but this is not a problem! very beautifull hostel and very cheap!

The staff is very helpfull and kind. The room was nice and clear and the hostel is in the center of the city. A nice place to stay!

The location in particular. But the staff in the restaurant was a bit anoing sometimes when they wanted you to pay halfway through a meal, or before you even got any food. It felt a bit like they didn't trust you. But if we needed help Bob the manager was eager to help. He was really nice!!!

Very friendy staff. The hostel is just amazing! If I would go again to Pingyao, I would stay again at this place for sure! Thanks to Bob and his staff!!!

The amazing building is the first thing that strikes you, and the staff are welcoming and friendly. From booking bus tickets to helping us with getting to know Pingyao, the owner (Bob) was a real help.

A very very very good hostel!!! If you are looking for a hostel in Pingyao - don't look any further!
The manager is very nice and extremely helpful. (If you need to book train tickets, he does it for you - even before you arrive!!).
The food is delicious, the beer is cheap, the rooms are very clean, tasteful and the internet-connection is fast.
A perfect hostel!

Staff so friendly and able to help with anything, translating and writing things down included. On the first day, Bob, the manager sat us down with a map and explained where everything in Pingyao is, where to buy tickets and what we should go and have a look at. This was very helpful when we knew no chinese. We have not come across such a friendly and helpful hostel and staff anywhere in China. Highly recommended! Very english speaking friendly!

This is one of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. The building is a stunning 200 year old traditional Chinese house with beautiful bedrooms, courtyard and communal area. The staff are very friendly and fun and go out of the way to help you in any way they can. I would definitely recommend staying at this hostel for a great Pingyao experience.

It was one of the greatest hostels that a stayed in while travelling around the world. The friendliness and helpfulness of everybody here is really very outstanding. Moreover what you get for your money is great.
