Liked: Really cool place from where to check out Lhasa, would definitely recommend. I was the only foreign traveller staying at the time but all staff and other travellers made me feel at home. The Chinese travellers were really good fun! The bar is also very cool, best place to stay in Lhasa by a mile!

Disliked: no lockers in dorms, beds not properly made, tiny dorms with nothing except beds, loud and disrespectful chinese clientele (using your bed when you're away, never locking the doors, talking and listening to music loudly when you want to sleep...)

Liked: We booked this hostel as it described itself as a good and clean place to stay in Lhasa whilst being centrally located. The part about centrally located is true. The hostel is near all the main tourist attractions e.g. a 10 min walk to Potala and Barkhor street. However, the hostel is the dirtiest one that we have stayed in in all of our travels in Asia, Europe and the USA. Further, the rooms are not organized in such a way so that you have a window. Instead there is a corridor from which you enter the rooms which means that you have no privacy or a sense of security. The rooms are extremely dirty with dust, dirt and leftovers from previous guests. The linen is not changed after a guest leaves but are instead saved for the next guest. The same goes with towels. The bathrooms are painted in black so as to cover up... everything. We feel that anyone who puts health and cleanliness as one of their top criteria when searching for accommodation should avoid this hostel. In fact, there is a nice hotel (LS- lucky snow) with double ensuite prices matching those of this hostel that is nice a clean.

Liked: the 8 bed dormitory is not recomendable, in almost inside the bar and the facilities are dirty. The 6 bed one is perfect.

Liked: I can find NO redeeming features about this hostel to recommend to other travellers.I have not come across a dirtier hostel.The staff are extremely rude, unprofessional and extremely incompetent - our dorm room was overbooked and we were unable to get to sleep with the constant stream of people walking in and arguing over beds. The staff were quite reluctant to resolve the issue or acknowledge their mistakes.Although the hostel claims to be "International" there is no support for foreign guests, only those who speak Chinese.I would strongly urge Hostel Bookers NOT to promote this hostel.

Liked: Staff were friendly and helpful and the location's good - right in the middle of where it's at! Only downside is that the shower in my room lacked hot water - which was a challenge in the middle of winter! Staff were very happy to let me use another room though so a solution was found.

Liked: This is a nice enough hostel in the middle of the city close to the major sights. The staff doesnt speak a lot of english which was a little problem trying to find the place. It is clean and with a free luandry service (not for underwear though), and is, compared to other places, a good value for money.
